What time do people recommend that we should get to the park?.

It is our first time and we have free sky tickets which say - you should arrive early on your day to avoid disappointment'. Does this mean that we might not get in?

Are there normally queues to get into the park?

i recommend you get there by 9am to exchange your ticket. You will be able to get through the turnstiles and into either park by 9.30am, and yes, there may be queues.

Don't worry, you will be able to get in if you go later, but to get the best out of day tickets, best to get there in time for the park opening.

QUOTE=beerqueen;55408109]As early as possible as I think most people get there about mid morning so you can beat the queues a little. I don't think I've ever heard of people being turned away but legally they have to have an upper limit on numbers for safety reasons - but in three weeks time it's not going to be as busy as in peak times (August and Easter) but the earlier you get there the better. Again, I'm sure Balletshoes will be able to help more.[/QUOTE]

  • We are planning to go to Disneyland Paris next summer holidays, my dad would also like to go (whilst out little boys are still so young) which would mean there are 3 adults and 2 children. I read that the Santa Fe can accomodate this but can not see any availability on the website for any date when entering that quantity of people.
Is this because these rooms get booked up so quickly or do you have to call and book?
Could anyone recomend the best way of booking, I wouldn't think the best prices are now but as I may need a special room maybe I have no choice but to book so early.
Also are there other reputable websites that I can book through apart from the main Disneyland website as at present the prices for two seperate rooms are a little out of my price range when we factor in transport too.

Thankyou for any advice anyone can give.

Hi, I am VERY new to all this but really need some advice. I booked a package to stay at the Sequoia Lodge from 22nd Sept-26th Sept. We didn't book a meal plan at the time of booking but now I have looked at the character dining and my understanding is you can do these with the packages?
They seem expensive to book individually though. Any help/advice you can give will be gratefully recieved.

Also does anyone know how busy it is likely to be on those dates?

you won't get a better price than Disney just now for next summer. Is the official site giving you any options at all for your dates? The Santa Fe, Newport Bay Club, and Disneyland Hotel all have family rooms - but to be honest, because of various offers through the year on the standard rooms, its often cheaper to book 2 rooms than one family room.

You could also look at the Explorers hotel, that can take 4 in a standard room plus 2 in a bunk-bedded adjoining room. You'd have to organise park tickets separately, but that could still work out much cheaper than onsite or Explorers through Disney.

Expedia sell Disney hotels, and if you look at trivago you may find other companies too.

midweek it will lovely and quiet on your dates :).

don't buy a meal plan would be my advice. The best value character meals at the moment are the Cowboy Cookout lunch, and Cafe Mickey for lunch or dinner. Cowboy Cookout is a set price per adult and child, but loads of food and you can stay and interact with the characters as long as you like.

Cafe Mickey can be done quite cheaply, by sharing pizza and sides (like Pizza Hut ;)) instead of buying set meals (the kids set meal is really not good value here). The character interaction is exactly the same no matter how much you spend on the food at Cafe Mickey.

Thank you so much, I hadn't even noticed the other parts of the menu, just focussed on the set ones! Silly me!
    Thanks once again x

    Hello again,

My husband is looking to getting our daughter into pin badge trading (shes only 2 1/2 bless her - he did it in America years ago!).

Firstly, has anyone bought any of the pin trading bags in DLP recently? If so, how much were they and how big?

Secondly, any tips for pin trading in DLP? I'm guessing it's more of an American thing - but I've been completely oblivious to pin trading on previous visits so I know nothing!! Lol

    Thanks all - we're there 10th and 11th September!

    Clare x
