Anyone know of any other alternatives to flying from Belfast- we are going in March again( 14 - 18 ) and flights are always so expensive that we end up flying out early with Ryanair( dublin ) - now I book these months in advance and still ryanair & tranport ends up costing us around £650 for 2adults 2kids - I really don't want to go this route again but Easyjet are scarily high - any ideas would be much appreciated ! Thanks

Just found Dublin to Paris Beauvais coming out at £95 per adult. Unfortunately from there it's a 2 hour+ bus ride to DLRP (according to here: http://www.dlrpmagic.com/guidebook/practical/gettingtothemagic/airports/)
  • PS that's with Ryanair.

I have no idea if this is feasible for you, so bear with me. Could you fly the evening before, and the morning after, your trip to DLP, first from Belfast/Dublin to Luton? Stay overnight in a travelodge both ways at Luton (theres a sale starting tomorrow for them, and the Luton one is absolutely fine one night :)) and then take the Easyjet flights from Luton to CDG and back (great choice of flight times every day).

Generally, none of the rides would drop you where you left the bags. Keep your valuables with you, the rest is safe enough left. Disney security is very good, very discrete, until they are needed, and I have seen them in operation once, and they're very fast, and also very violent and massively ott.
No, you can't leave bags anywhere at the ride areas at DLP, because you don't usually come off the ride where you got on it (separate entrances and exits on most rides at DLP). You can take your bags, even rucksacks etc, with you on the rides. The only exception to this really is the Parachute Drop, there are themed boxes for bags in the ride area for this one.

Thanks both - that's pretty muich confirmed what I was thinking. I reckon I can get changing stuff, a few drinks, purse, camera & snacks for DD easily into one of our medium rucksacks. That'll do. It's not as if any of use are going on any of the big rides, so most of the rides/bag situations should be fine.

I'm hoping it won't be TOO busy when we go - 10th & 11th September!

Thanks for everyone's help on here.

Travelodge £12 room sale has started this morning - useful for a near-airport or train station (Eurostar/Eurotunnel) hotel for the night before or after a journey to DLP :).

Dates included in the sale are January to March 2013.

Yes saw this yesterday thanks and booked Kings cross for when we go in March. Not sure why the nearer one wasn't on the offer, probably because it is the nearer one but the Kings cross is ideal just for the 1 night, especially at £25.

Use the multistorey in the village, not the park car park.

To be fair, for £12, if nothing in the room bites you, it's good.
I've stayed in some dire travelodges, they're still clean, dry, and quiet with the windows shut.
