    Hi

I was just wondering when it would be best to book for May 2013, probably going to go for 3 nights and stay in the Cheyenne vie Eurostar. Im wondering if anyone knows when the offers tend to change?

    Thank you

We're looking at the exact same thing! Booked Eurostar online this morning (from Ashford) while it was still showing £69 return for us adults and £49 for kids (was worried that might change any time!).

The current offer for the hotel & tickets lasts until 15th October and is 15% off WINTER prices and can be combined with 'Kids under 7 stay and play free' on certain dates. It's coming out with pretty good prices for us (£477.70 for a Monday-Thursday break in term-time - two adults + 4yo + 1yo) but I'm still wondering whether to wait for better deals......
  • I notice that it's possible to save £25.50 at the Cheyenne by choosing "Room with 1 large double bed and a set of bunk beds" rather than "Room with 1 large double bed and a set of bunk beds located near hotel facilities" or "Room with 1 large double bed and a set of bunk beds located along the Rio Grande".

Any opinions on whether it's worth paying the extra £25.50 for those room types (the first of which is selected by default)? We are a party of 2 seniors, 2 adults, a 4 year old and a 1 year old.

in my opinion there is no point paying extra for rooms at the Cheyenne or the Santa Fe hotels. They are all decorated exactly the same, same facilities, and although both hotels are set out in blocks around the reception area, you can reach all the blocks within a few minutes of reception at both hotels. Those rio grande/close to reception rooms will get filled anyway, whether you pay the supplement or not :).

Just a thought, what site are you checking prices on? I ask based on previous experience as not all countries have the same offers - we went to Disney last year late November - cheaper by £100 for the same time / accommodation on the Irish site that the English one.

Ok, you have to pay in Euros but a credit card sorts that out!

Also may be possible to use Quidco and the likes as well - think we did manage to get cashback from Quidco as well!

Mmmm, this is interesting. My dates come out about £30 cheaper on the Irish site (assuming I get an exchange rate on my credit card equivalent to that at x-rates.com). I can't see that it would be possible to get Quidco as well though as Quidco directs you to the UK site. If you change the URL to access the Irish site I would've thought you'd lose the Quidco tracking.

Are there any potential issues with booking through the Irish site? Does it expect an Irish address?
  • Ok so with the increase in price of the eurostar we have decided to fly with easyjet. £368 for 2 adults and 2 children, flying from Liverpool, it flies at 5:45pm landing at 8:30pm which is why its so cheap but we have decided to do this and book into a hotel for the night. I have a few questions.

    1) We have decided on either the Explorers hotel, or the Kyriad. We will be eating tea late on in the hotel and sleeping there that is all but these 2 are child friendly and close to the park for travel the next morning. Does anyone have a preference, they are both similar in price.

    2) We are flying into CDG airport, how do we get to te hotel from there, people have mentioned shuttles and things but i dont really understand it all. We want to get there the quickest way possible and also does any one have any ideas about the costing for this

    In reply to RunningMan...

No issues using the Irish site, use your own address but leave / set the country as Ireland - that is all it checks! All correspondance is electronic so nothing to worry about.

As to Euro conversion, use / get a credit card that doesn't load the exchange fee i.e. Nationwide.

email them, ask them if your order has been processed, and let them know at the same time how many free child's annual passes you need with your paid-for tickets.

they are in the same road, 4 hotels in a row, all served by the same shuttle bus to the parks :). Actually, all 4 hotels in the row are child friendly. With kids I think the Explorers is better, as there is a brilliant soft play area and a pizza bar there which is a fairly reasonable price for food at DLP.

the quickest, most convenient and probably cheapest way for 4 of you at that time of night is without doubt a private or shared shuttle. Go on rstransports or ezyshuttle.com and do a pricing. A private shuttle is usually in the region of around 70 euros each way for 4 people.
