What is the cheapest way to get tickets? We're going from the 22nd to the 25th November this year and I was wondering if it was better to buy tickets before going or buy them on the gate when we get there.
Thanks
if you're going into the parks for at least 3 days, a fantasy annual pass from cemultiavantages is cheapest, and best value. 119 euros each pass (plus one 20 euro joining fee, no matter how many tickets you then buy from cemultiavantages). Gives you discounts on shopping and restaurants, and can be used for park access for the whole year from the first day you use it, excluding about 40 blackout dates (check DLRPMagic for their excellent information on annual passes).
Don't wait until you get to DLP, the gate price is expensive.0 -
Just checked the blackout dates and our middle day we're there is included in that. I'll have a look at the other tickets on the site to see if we're still cheaper using the full annual pass. Thanks for the info. A wee question about the passes. Do they have photos on them? Just wondering if they were transferrable to friends if I wasn't going to use them for the rest of the year.0

@Gscrym no the passes are not transferable, they have photos on them :-(0

this is right, when you get your permanent annual pass the DLP staff take your picture with a digicam, this then is laminated onto your annual pass. The staff at the DLP ticket turnstiles do scrutinise annual passes too.0 -
Currently at DLP for the first time and I am actually quite impressed. We have a two day pass from ce multi and are planning to go to the studios. Can anyone provide any top tips that we should not miss? Also, we are planning to eat out tomorrow- any suggestions? By we I mean 2 adults -2 children 10 &7?0

When i booked, co-op quoted £254 for 2 adults and 2 children return on eurostar. Now the dates have actually been properly released, they are around £450. Today i went to the co-op branch and they called disney who quoted £902 even though i said i could do it myself for £450!
Can understand how its so much, contemplating flying and saving the cost of travel to london and hotel overnight. Any ideas please?0 -

yes lots of us are noticing that for all UK school holidays next year, the Eurostar direct prices are very expensive.
If you can fly, and its not as expensive as the Eurostar, do it. I fly all the time, its not a difficult transfer either. With 4 of you you'd be cheapest and most convenient getting a shared or private shuttle to take you from CDG to your hotel and back. It costs around 140 euros return for a private shuttle (but have a look on rstransports etc to get a proper costing, including the shared shuttle price). Theres the VEA coach at 19 euros each way per adult, 13 euros each way per child. Or the TGV train (check Rail Europe or sncf.fr for price and times).
Or - with 4 of you, you could drive (you could stay overnight at Ashford and take the Eurotunnel early next morning). If you have Tesco clubcard vouchers, you can use those for the Eurotunnel crossing.0 -
Thanks very much for the info on the Francillien- it was really helpful- and you just saved me 200 euros!! I will book the fantasy passes now.
right here goes budget keepers what do you think- Disney on a shoestring:-
3 nights at four vents camping site approx £85
2 adult annual passes £200 from ce-multiavantages
one child age 3 goes free with one of our passes
the other one is age 7 on the first day so has a free birthday pass for first day, 30 euros for second day, day pass (it is a thursday)
ferry crossing £19.50 out there (going on a day return pass but not coming back on it)
ferry crossing back £30
Total 3 days in disney for £365 with two annual passes to use again
Camping - Is that the price supplying your own tent.?
Ferry - Is there any penalty for not using the return journey?0 -
I'd be very wary about using only ine half of a day retrun - the ferry companies seem to be very wise to this and as they can check whether you actually travelled both legs of the journey, coupled with the fact that they have your payment details, the t&c's I believe state they can charge you the full cost.0
