Keep your wits about you on the Metro, lot of unsavoury characters, aggressive buskers and the like all waiting for tourists on that line.

Never had a problem with them, ignore them and they just move on. I don't think they cause trouble as they'll get thrown off if they start upsetting people.

    Hi guys :)
Its been a while since I was last on - been crazy busy since I got back in March. Had a fab (but exhausting) time and thanks again for all of your help - really made things soooo much easier and better. Now, just 5 weeks, on I have been bitten by the disney bug again

I have worked out a super cheap way to get back in August but was hoping for a few questions answered (if any of you can).

First off, I am pretty sure I have seen people say that its fine but can other people with sky accounts book free tickets for someone else eg me :) ? They dont have the account holders names on, do they?

Also has anyone ever stayed in the Premiere Classe Bussy Saint Georges hotel? Basic review searches have said that its fine as a base and it only 2 stops away from Disney on the train but the rooms are quite small. Im fine with all of that - just need a cheap, clean room with a bed and a shower - just thought I would ask here first if anyone has first hand experience of this hotel.

Also has anyone ever the overnight coach with Megabus? Was thinking about taking this back to London to allow one more day but save on hotel costs. Getting the day coach there as think overnight before the holiday would be too hard on the children but thinking on the way back it may work.

Also, planning on spending the last day in Paris before coach home to do Eiffel tower etc so does anyone know if there are lockers suitable for suitcases in Porte Maillot Coach park? And can I get to tower and other tourist places easily from here?

Thats all for now lol Thanks everyone :)

    Hi,

I can't help with anything else, but I stayed at the Premier Classe Bussy St Georges on my last trip. The rooms are very small (if you don't have a spare bed in the room for your party size theres nowhere to put your stuff other than under the beds), but the beds are comfy, everything in the shower room works, and its very clean. Its a 10-minute walk from here to the train station at Bussy St Georges, and the reception staff were very helpful. The security gate outside the hotel never worked when we were there, but the car barrier worked, so you can get in/out.

you can use someone elses SKY account to get tickets ... BUT they must be applied for in YOUR name as they are named ( and photo ID for the named person is required)

if you havent already applied ? then i doubt you will get anything now for August
  • Hello! This is my first post and I've been driven to it as I am so confused! We are off to DLP on 7 May 2012 for three nights, visiting the park for 2 days. I've sorted out most things but have ended up reading so much I've got myself so confused about the last bits to sort out that I haven't done anything! I thought I'd see if anyone could offer any advice as I'm going round in circles.

We are a family of two adults, a four year old and a 19 month old. We are driving there (Eurotunnel courtesy of Tesco rewards), 3 nights in Magic Circus (good deal, Quidco, plus coincided with credit card cashback month so even cheaper) and got free park tickets via Sky for the adults.

I don't know where to get the cheapest tickets for two days for my four year old? We're not likely to be going back anytime soon.

Plus I am not sure what to do about food? Whether to buy the meal plans or is it not worth it? I'd like to take them to Cafe Mickey (I went 10 years ago and loved it), wondered about going the first evening as we won't be in the parks that day so it would be something 'Disney' to do, although a little bit worried they may be frightened by the characters. Also after reading something, somewhere I wondered about booking Walts to watch a parade from there, but no idea what time or if that's a good idea?

Any driving tips also gratefully received! Sorry this is so long!

I think FNAC might be the cheapest place for your son's park tickets (vikki posted the link a few posts ago on this thread :)) Or possibly a child's 2-day hopper ticket from the likes of attractiontix, themeparktickets etc etc?

you can't buy the meal plans if you haven't booked a Disney package I'm afraid. It doesn't matter anyway, they don't save you any money and you can easily do Cafe Mickey for dinner on your first evening by ordering pizza there to share (I think its a great idea to do this on your first evening, something Disney :)).

I'd watch the parade from the parade route, you don't get the sounds or the interaction for your little ones if you're not ropeside.

eta - heres the FNAC link -

You don't really need any driving tips. It's an easy drive, straight off the train, onto the motorway, pay the toll, drive into disney. Take some euros for the toll, less than 30 for a car. If you need fuel, either the service station off the train, or the one at disney as you leave are cheaper than the motorways, but not enough to worry about. And it's right, the parades are more fun actually on the route.

We are hoping to let our niece see the Eiffel Tower and possibly go inside the Arc de Triomphe. Is there anything else we can realistically see or do on a Sunday in Paris within 6 hours? Can anyone recommend anywhere to eat in Paris that is reasonably priced, well as reasonably priced as you can get for Paris?

you might get more replies to those Paris questions Jo if you post it in a new thread, there will be loads of folk who go to Paris and don't visit Disneyland, and vice versa :).
