I've booked my Eurostar direct & my hotel/tickets through Avios and was looking at booking the dining plan which i believe I can do through DLP direct but I see I am unable to purchase this for my son who is under 3 so how does that work? Do I just purchase him a meal separately, and if that is the case, is it worth buying the dining plan at all? Any help would be appriciated

Under 3's eat free. Think they have a few meals you can choose for them - generally Mickey Pasta. Whenever we've eaten in the buffet restaurants, however there has never been a problem with them having their own plate and choosing something.

Personally I don't think the dining plan is worth it. However I may be slightly biased as we're shareholders so get a bigger discount on food (15%).

Thanks for your advice, was looking at the dining plan to help with my budgeting more than anything.

When you say Under 3's eat free, is that just at buffet restaurants or if we went to say Cafe Mickey on the plus dining plan, would they be offered food there?

I think it's at all non-counter restaurants so would include Cafe Mickey - however I don't think you can just order something off the menu for them. Instead it's a 'special menu' which from memory is basically a bowl of pasta.

Nothing to say that they can't share yours though.

Just to let anyone who has a current fantasy annual pass know - I've just seen on another forum (from a very knowledgeable source) that all fantasy pass holders now have access to Extra Magic Hours :), as of this week.

and great news for DLP shareholders visiting DLP between now and the end of June 2012 - you as shareholder and up to 3 of your guests can get a free VIP fastpass (ie unlimited access to the 9 fastpass rides in both parks) for one day of your stay - register quick, limited numbers -

    Hello!

I know there are mixed views on this but we have booked the half board meal deal for when we go to DLP in June to help us budget and me to be able to have a holiday as well! Having looked at Trip Advisor a few restaurants are not good, but can anyone recommend anywhere lush to eat (I'll check if on basic Meal Deal) or anywhere to point blank avoid?

Also, does anyone know if we can use our vouchers towards the WildWest show as it includes a meal - or which is best Cowboy Cookout or Wildwest..doing on day 2, so kids get to meet the characters and the we dont queue for them at all!!

    Many many thanks all

    xx

if its mainly for meeting characters, cowboy cookout would win hands-down - you only get a chance to meet one characters at BBWWS, its usually 5 characters at cowboy cookout.

I think when you are 5 & 7, its going to be all about the characters so we'll stick with Cowboy cookout. Balletshoes, I hope DLP are paying you as tourist information...you are a true oracle of all things Disney. Thankyou

Under 3s only eat free at buffets at all other places you either need to buy him a meal or give him some of yours.

The dining plan doesn't save anything like it advertises its just helpful for knowing your meals are paid for in advance meaning you need to take less spending money.
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
