Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

We are thinking of visiting EuroDisney for a few days between 11-16th August after we have been down south for the Olympics.
We are travelling down south by car (staying at my aunts near Reading) so planned to travel to EuroDisney in our car.
Does it make sense to drive (given we are only a couple of hours from the Channel) or is flight a good alternative (from Heathrow?) or train ?
How many days roughly are required to do a good chunk of the attractions? (travelling with our 6 & 7 y.o.)?
Where are good/convenient places to stay whilst vising ED
Also wondered if there are any good Eurocamp type places nearby for a day or 2 to chill out before the long drive back up to Aberdeen !
Finally, any idea how busy it is likely to be then ? Will there be ridiculous queues? If so are there and (legitimate) ways around this ?
Any general advice on best deals given out circs would be welcome :-)
Cheers in advance.0 -

Personally I would go by Eurostar if you are near it. Its a couple of hours and drops you off right at Disneyland Paris. From Calais your looking at a 5 hour drive to Disneyland roughly. It took us 6 hours by coach and that was with one 20 minute stop!
I would say you need at least 3 days to see everything but I find 4-5 ideal as you can take things at a slower pace.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

You might be best searching or posting for a response over on the disboards DLP forum about this. I've never used Promoparcs site personally - was just posting a link I'd seen on there - and as you haven't had an answer here I'm guessing others haven't either.
Alternatively, CE Multiavantages is a similar site with similar offers which might be worth a try. I think others on this thread have used them before so you might find more info on how the site works etc if you do a search.0 -

If you are set on staying on site then I would start by pricing up on the DLP website - would have a look for you but I'm on an iPad with no flash player  so can't get on there.
You can book the Disney hotels room only on Expedia then buy tickets separately, but less than a month out and over a bank holiday I doubt that will be the cheapest option. Had a quick look and for the Cheyenne they want £542 for the 3 nights for 2 adults + 2 children which seems pricey to me.
One of the 'associated' hotels would be cheaper - for example Expedia have the Magic Circus for £297 or Kyriad for £316 - or there are cheaper options still if you opt to stay further out in Val D'Europe (1 stop away on the train) or similar.
All depends on your budget and how much value you place on staying in a Disney property. We have just come back from the Santa Fe and whilst I was happy enough with it and liked the perks of being on site, I wouldn't pay much more for it than the £49/night deal we got. Both the Santa Fe and Cheyenne are fairly basic places and you will get a lot more for your money, or similar accommodations for a lot less, staying elsewhere.0 -

As you have travel sorted the only thing left is to book the hotel which is the same price with travel agents as it is direct via disney. If you go through quidco you get 6% cashbackWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
It will be pricey because its a bank holiday weekend and because we are close to the date so there is less availability.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

Hi, I have read pages and pages and got some really useful information thank you. We are hoping to go to DLP in the half term hols, end of Oct to Nov. I cant decide if we should stay on site or not.
It will be busy i should think and both children are early risers,so the fact we can go in the park early is important. Am i right in thinking that if you get a dream pass you can stay off site and still get in early? Can i book before and do we all need them? I think they are about £164 each. Also, from what i have read, sometimes the early opening doesnt happen on certain dates? Any help would be great, my head aches!!0 -
