Hi i know this is totally down to personal preference, but roughly how much spending money will i need for 4nights 5 days? Just so i take enough to feed 2 adults and 2 young kids. 7 and 4. Obviously we will want to buy them a few bits. Also any recommendations on reasonably priced places to eat while there.?
    Thanks in advance

food is pretty expensive at DLP, so I'd budget for around £100 per day for 4 of you, for lunch and dinner. that should give you a little money for souvenirs too. you can get ideas of costs of all the restaurants on DLRPMagic, they have a restaurant review forum there with photos and rough prices.

buffet and table service for an adult start at around 20 euros upwards, for children around 10 euros upwards. counter service adult meals 10 euros upwards, childrens 6 euros or so.

there is a McDonalds in the Village, plus and Earl of Sandwich, Starbucks etc there too. nothing to stop you bringing your own sandwiches and snacks into the parks, there is a small Relay convenience store and a patisserie inside the train station at the entrance to the parks which are both cheaper to buy from than anywhere inside the parks.

Hi, I've a question about an attraction. I've been looking at DLPM and the Rustler Roundup Shootin' Gallery only has one star for 3-7 year olds, so looks like it's not suitable. Does anyone know why? I think ds would like a bit of shooting action judging by the times he jumps out at me and blasts me with his rifles/space guns/machine guns. :D
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

this you have to pay for - and I think the reason its not for 3-7 year olds is because they wouldn't be able to see over the ledge to the targets on the wall :rotfl:. Its a standard fairground-type shooting gallery.

Thanks balletshoes, thought it might have been a height thing. I wasn't sure if I'd get away with balancing Jake on my knee lol. As I'd have to pay, I'll be giving it a miss then.

I'm going the same dates as you onrie. They're two of the things Jake was most impressed with looking at the website. Gutted they're closed. I REALLY hope they don't adjust the date for Big Thunder Mountain otherwise I'll have a major strop!

  • Hi all,

I've joined this forum because I saw this thread and thought I could do with some help! You guys seem to be a fountain of knowledge. We've booked to go to DLP in March. We will be staying at the Davy Crockett Ranch and driving.

There is 7 of us. My children are 10, 4 & 9 months when we go, plus me, hubby and my parents.

I would like to plan in advance where to go and which rides would be best. Also we are planning to make some breakfast in the cabin and then maybe take sandwiches/drinks with us for the park. We're trying to cut back on how much we spend on food.

Can anyone give me any tips? I will go back some pages on here but I don't think I could manage to read it all!

    Hi pinkpanther :),

If you want to plan your rides etc sites like DLRPMagic are great. Get yourself a cuppa and sit down for a nice long read, theres all sorts of information there, including all the rides and attractions, fastpass explained, opening hours, closures, refurbs, restaurants and prices etc etc etc.

    Enjoy planning your trip!
