Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hi im currently trying to find a good package for march this year. It seems to be cheaper to book the package via the disney website and flights separately into CDG Paris. Has anyone else book package and separate flights? If not who do you generally book through? Also wondering what the difference between the sante fe and the cheyenne hotel is?
Thanks in advance.
As Balletshoes said generally it works out cheaper to book separately.
Re difference in hotels, I have only stayed at Santa Fe so far (going to Cheyenne myself in March) so dont have 1st hand experience, but can tell you that all I have read (on offical sites plus reviews etc) state that are exactly the same (in terms of facilities etc) but they just have different themes; Cheyenne has a wild west theme and Santa Fe has a Mexican theme. Also Cheyenne is a tad more expensive - Im assuming its because its like 1 min closer to the park itself. That said its only a 10 min walk from Santa Fe anyway (9 mins from Cheyenne lol) and its a nice walk along the river.0 -
What hotels have we all stayed in and what are your good and bad points? Thinking of booking the sequoia lodge for the pool. What extra benifits does this have over the sante fe and cheyenne apart from the pool. We are there for 4 nights 5 days but only gonna have 3 full days and 2 3rds of the last day will miss the first day completely due to flight times. Do you think i will have time to use the pool? Or is this just a silly idea. Going march 26th .
thanks in advance
it really depends what you want from your hotel. the only time of year we've found time to swim at DLP was in June, when the parks closed at 7pm and it was still light and sunny outside until around 9pm. then we went for a swim after the parks closed. in march it will be dark as the parks are closing.
we had a swimming pool at our last hotel in November, stayed 4 nights/5days, and didn't find time to swim.

First thing in the morning I'm going to be measuring my son hoping he's tall enough to go on Big Thunder Mountain. If he's not, we'll be doing stretching exercises for the next two months!
I've a feeling he's not going to be, he's pretty short for a four and half year old. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

Brilliant- thank you! Sorry, just a couple more questions- is it walking distance to the parks? And do you see the characters inside the hotel?
My dad has offered to pay the extra for us to stay at the Disneyland hotel instead of the New York because he thinks its going to make it easier for me (this is the first time I've been on holiday with the kids on my own singe becoming a single parent) and I am trying to weigh up if it is worth him paying the extra £400 or whether its really not necessary- I don't want to waste his money...
As far as I can see the advantages are not having to use the shuttle bus, them managing your luggage from the eurostar straight to the room, being able to return to the room easily throughout the day, better breakfast and the characters being around in the hotel so that you dont waste time queuing for autographs in the park.
Does anyone have an opinion as to whether it's really worth the extra £s or not?

I havent stayed in either hotels so cant tell you which is better but about your concerns I can tell you that although the Disneyland hotel is literally right at the parks entrance the Hotel New York is only another 4 minutes walk away. The new york is about 3 mins from the train station and there really is no need to use the shuttle bus. I understand (others will correct me if Im wrong) but for a small price - think it was £16 or there abouts your cases can get transfered from the train station to any hotel so you wont need to struggle yourself. Not sure if characters are about more in Disneyland hotel but as I understand they do an apperance in every on-resort hotel in the morning. Im sure I read on here that in the afternoon on the weekends they do another little meet and greet/ show in Disneyland hotel but anyone can go in and watch anyway. My opnion, having seen how close the New york is anyway is its not worth it if you are thinking about just the hassle. Hope this helps0 -

another question about the explorer hotel, do they have a kettle in the room, if not will pack a travel one and tea lol. We have been told that our luggage will go straight to hotel so will check that lol.
Cant wait getting excited, only 32 more sleeps lol0 -
Just to add hoping to not have to buy drinks, we walk so will be taking our backpacks with water bits in them, these are refillable and they have like a long drinking tube lol. Will take some juice to put in them as well.
this is the bladder that goes in http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/trekmates-soft-feel-tanker-3-litre-containers-hydration-bladder-p97770 they are great and means when we goto theme parks we have drinks wherever0 -

well the Disneyland Hotel is fabulous for location, can't deny that.
however, you get characters in the hotels each morning at all the onsite hotels, the breakfast is very similar in both the DLH and the New York hotels, your luggage is taken to your hotel in the New York just as it is in the DLH, and you don't have to use the shuttle bus from the New York to the parks - from the back of the New York you are only 5 minutes walk through the Village to the gates of the parks.
also, you don't have to be staying in the Disneyland Hotel to visit its public areas (reception lobby, shops, restaurants, bar etc) where the characters are.
in May it should be pleasantly warm, so I really don't think the hotel New York would be unsuitable. However, most people do dream of staying in the Disneyland Hotel at least once, so if your Dad doesn't mind paying, I'd say go for it.
