apples, that is great, I've never been the busier times of year or stayed in the Disneyland Hotel (could not justify paying that money just to sleep!!) We have never seen princesses at DLP in either park and I have been 3 times in total now. We have seen Jessie, Minnie and Lilo 'female' charachters but never the 'main princesses'. Did they come to your hotel for breakfast or were they in the parks?

I am so pleased you had a great time. It is hard not to :)

Had to pop in as just back from a wonderful trip to DLP. :j After reading the above post I gently tried to tell my daughter before going that we may not see any princesses. Just for other "worried" Mums I had to post that we saw the princesses in the park and got photos and autographs from Cinderella, Arieal, Belle and Snow white (who was absolutely lovely to my daughter!)

Disneyland high-five! You must've been there at the exact same time as us (and same hotel!).

I didn't spot any princesses wandering about myself, but there were lots in the main parade. Admittedly since I'm 20 and my wee sis is 11 (and "too cool for school"), I was more interested in getting a photo with Mickey than she was!

Piece of advice for anyone - Crush's Coaster (one of the new rides this year, in Studios) has an absolutely absurd queue all day long. I never saw it below 45 minutes of waiting, at least. Even first thing it is busy, somehow. Your best bet is during a Moteurs show, or a parade, or last thing in the day. Even then cross your fingers. It's mad it doesn't have Fastpass set up. It's good fun once you're on it, but it's not worth an hour and a half's wait (as we did), especially since most of the queueing area is dull.

  • Got a question about park tickets/annual passports....

We are going in June, staying 9 nights and were going to get 4 day hopper tickets. Someone said it might work out cheaper to get annual passports, which I think it does.

I was just going to wait til we got there and buy the passports from the ticket office there. But I have seen that there is an offer on til April whereby you get a passport for an under 7 free with an adults.

Would I be able to take advantage of this somehow? Perhaps by ordering by post?

My French isn't great but I think it might have inferred on their site that you have to buy the passport in person to get the free child one.

This is what it says : 1) Offre valable sur demande aux guichets à l'entr!e des Parcs Disney® jusqu'au 4 avril 2008 inclus.

Hi again, yes we met the princesses in the main park. They were on the raised stage bit by the castle (can't remember what its called now) from 10.15 am until lunchtime each day. Each princess did 20 mins of signing and photos and then swapped with the next one so even though you join the queue whilst Cinderella was there you may see Arieal by the time it's your turn!

We got a couple there and were lucky enough to meet Snow White walking back (on her way back from her 20 mins I guess) and she was surrounded. She knelt down for the children and was almost knocked over! We waited patiently for our "turn" and I think she noticed. She said "walk with me" (in her perfect english adult voice) to me and held our daughter's hand and chatted to her as she walked towards her escape gate! I tried to take a pic as they walked but couldn't and she then said under her breath to me and over the heads of the children "keep coming I'll stop at the gate for you". She did exactly that and we have a lovely pic of our daughter and S White. We met Arial the same way. The next day our daughter said that Belle was her favourite princess and she didn't have her autograph so we asked the attendants which 20 mins slots Belle was doing, queued up & waited at the front of the line for an extra 10 mins for Belle's turn -things you do for your little girl eh?!!

I was worried we had paid over the odds for the hotel "just to sleep" but it was so worth it as sleeping was only a very tiny bit of what we got from the hotel. At breakfast we met Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Pinnochio, Goofy, Pluto, Baloo and many others. It was one of the best bits of our day - I am so sad!! The fact that our girile got to wear her dressing up to breakfast etc made the holiday for her. She loved it. The hotel was gorgeous (of course for that money). They put disney chocolate coins on the beds each day etc and lots of little touches that added to the magic. When we booked we said we'd do it (the hotel) once and then downgrade in future. Having done it I would go back to that hotel. It was worth the extra. Coming out the "back door" straight into" the park was fab too. I am 20 wks pregnant and was worn out. To walk straight out the park into the hotel at the end of the day was a Godsend!
MTC NMP Membership #62 - made it back to size 12 after my children & I'm staying here!

This offer is valid, on asking, at the ticket booths at the entrance to the Disney parks, up until the 4th of April inclusive. For the purchase of an annual passport, a free annual passport of the same category will be free for a child that's less than 7 years old, on presentation of proof of age (piece of identity such as passport, or a family passport) and for the same vailidity dates as the annual passport bought. Offer valid on the whole range of annual passports. Offer not compatible with other offers or reductions. The free passport in this offer sin't changeable or reimbursible.

    Hope that helps.

Can anyone tell me why expedia do not have any availability for the main disney hotels?? I would prefer booking through them - last year for £10 more, I got a better room, and 5% cashback through quidco, now cashback is 6.5%

It depends what dates you are after. The disney hotels are still available as I have been comparing prices for May 08.

The dates you are after must be very popular! There is availability in some disney hotels 28/7 - 1/8 if that's any good?

I originally wanted 7 April but there isn't any rooms cos it's half-term. We're going term-time May now.
