Hi emweaver,
I have had a look on the bus website and can't see a way of getting from Torcy to DLP and vice versa without using the RER train. I know that you mentioned that you don't like trains but I can't see another way.
I don't know if you post elsewhere, but this subject has also been discussed on disboards, see:

Hiya, is there enough to do in disneyland paris to last for a week or is 5 days plenty?
I cant decide what to try for....for next year tho lol but I am looking at florida as well.
Has anyone been to both? I would appreciate any info on how you found them both and how they compare!
Thanx0 -
Hi ella,
There's no comparison between Paris and Florida. In Paris you have two Disney parks and limited evening entertainment (plus of course Paris on your doorstep). I would have trouble spending more than a few days there. Florida on the other hand, you've got The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Studios, Animal Kingdom, 2 waterparks and four evening entertainment areas (Westside, Pleasure Island, Marketplace (collectively Downtown Disney), plus the Boardwalk). Then you've got two parks at Universal Studios, another at Seaworld and Kennedy Space Center and Busch Gardens Tampa in driving distance. And I've probably missed out something.
I am an annual passholder for both Florida and Paris and would say the following. If you are looking for a short break, you can't beat Paris. Its close, you don't get jetlag, you get a bit of Disney and you can take in the capital with its cuisine, other sights etc. If you are looking for a 1 week holiday (or preferably more) then go to Florida as there is far more to do (if you're looking for a theme park based trip), the weather is generally nicer, you can't beat "doing Disney" in America as the vibe is different, and the shopping is great. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I have been to both ( florida years ago though!)
i would say length time is the biggest thing
( and cost of course, although florida can be done "on the cheap" if you arent restricted by school holidays etc )
eg we take 3/4 day trips to France when going to DLRP
but you need at least 2 weeks to go to Florida really ?
it also depends on age of children
i know many people do,but i wouldnt attempt florida with an under 4 yr old0 -
airmiles vs clubcard deals
just converted my clubcard points to airmiles in the hope of getting to Eurodisney and because of the 60miles/2.50 exchange rate, I have approx halved their monetary value (compared to deals value), now getting a bad feeling that this was wrong and cant change them back - do I have any other options?0 -
Is the eurostar deal that combines hotel (holiday Inn perhaps) and travel the cheapest option? Quite fancy taking my daughter (whose 6) late Nov or early Dec, any top tips?
I have tried to read all the related threads, but to be honest i think i left most of my brain cells in the delivery suite at my local hospital!November wins...a book, a designer handbag (worth £550 :T) and a game. I am now an addict and thank everyone for taking the time to share and post.0 -

I haven't booked anything yet but i havebeen looking a lot and found that it works out cheaper to book the hotel and tickets through disney and book eurostar seperatly. HTHI am journeying to a debt-free life.
Our estimated debt-free date is January 2040. I'm on a mission to bring that date closer!

I was wondering about using Tesco CC Tokens to pay for the Eurostar part of the trip, booking the seats direct with Eurostar , and booking the hotel, etc with DLRP.
As we live up north, the Disney Express at 08:53 is'nt a good option for us anyway, so we can book a late morning Eurostar to Paris. And it's the getting from Paris to DLRP that's got me worried.
There will be 3 adults (of which 2 are aged 60+) and 2 children (6 & 7).
I'd really appreciate any advice about getting from the station (Gare du Nord, I think it arrives at?) to DLRP.
Is the train system (RER?) easy to get about on? Is there a direct service to DLRP? And does anyone know what it costs, approx?
Finally, any other suggestions about ways to get from station to DLRP much appreciated from you experienced travellers out there!0 -
