I figured this way we'd be able to maximize the amount of value we get from the park passes as we can to be in the park from when it opens to when it closes and we should all be nice and fresh as we are not going straight to the park after a long journey.
You can get rooms for ~30 euro's per night - we paid a little more and are paying ~50 euro's but even so with food I think this will only add £150 euro's to the price of the trip.
I'm traveling with my wife and 2 young children. Not exactly sure how it's going to work out but we are leaving tomorrow:j so I'll be sure to let you know

Anyone done a transfer from either Lille or Paris for eurostar? Travelling on 24/06/12 so I can get direct train there but coming back will be a Tuesday so going to have to do a switch at either Lille or Paris. I just can't decide what to do. There's a large group of us travelling as it's for my hen do. Wanted to get everything booked but because of the change we can't do anything until 90 days before. Can't decide whether to just book group returns to Paris and then go from there, anyone done this? X0

We went a couple of weeks ago. We had the park cards as we stayed in a Disney hotel, therefore could use the cards for fastpass, etc.
My daughter wanted to go on Crush's Coaster ride in the Studio park. On the Saturday we saw that the park didn't open until 10.00, so turned up at that time - but then found when we got to the coaster ride there was a 1 hour and 20 minute wait - we decided not to do it = one upset daughter!
Anyway, not sure if it was a one-off, but on the Sunday we could actually get in 9.30 am, therefore get to roller coaster earlier - but then also found they were not only letting in early, but actually the rides were working early too. So only 15 mins to queue, much better.
Sorry if somebody has already mentioned this earlier, but to be honest don't really want to wade through pages just to find out!0 -
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help. I booked a package via Disney a few months ago. For myself, my partner and our 2 daughters for 3 nights and 4 days. For our hotel, tickets and eurostar it cost us £1073. I've had a look today and there is a new offer on with 30% off hotel(I got 25% off hotel and kids stay free) and travel. The same package as mine is now priced at £840.20, that is £233.00 cheaper than what I paid. I have spoke to someone on the phone at Disney today and they say theres nothing they can do apart from cancel my booking, which is a 10% charge and rebook it which only saves me £123.00. Is this the case are is there an other way around it:(
£233.00 is alot of money!!0 -

yep I hated every minute of it too. My OH mentioned that he thought the jellyfish were good - I wouldn't know as I had my eyes closed all the way round - so glad no photo taken!
Wonder if it was because it was stupidly busy in August why they opened early?0 -

This is standard practice - as the holiday date approaches bigger discounts are added to promote, and shift unsold ones.
You have no recourse in law. The holiday was advertised at a price you offered to pay and your offer accepted. You could have taken a risk and waited, you chose not to.
So there is no way around this other than cancelling and re-booking at the new price. But £123 in your pocket is £123 more to spend. Your choice, really.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Apparently, if you have booked direct with DLP you can add things to your booking and the new offer price for accomodation kicks in this way - so the poster could call and ask for a HB meal plan to be added and that plus the offer price of accomodation will come out around the same price as she has paid for already.
People were doing this on the dibb for the last time we went so it can be done. Someone had booked SF and upgraded to SL and add a HB meal plan and only had a few ££ more to pay as the new prices kicked in when she amended the booking (for which there is no fee).
If there is still more money owing to you, add a character breakfast on or upgrade your accomodation.
Alternatively you can move to more expensive accomdation and the offer price will kick in and you can stay somwhere better (ie, if booking in Santa Fe - ask how much to upgrade to SL).
Hope that makes sense.0 -

a couple of questions - have you booked the whole package including eurostar with Disney, or just your hotel/park tickets? Which hotel are you staying at, and have your included any half board plans/meals paid in advance on your booking already? Oh, and do you have a DLP brochure in your possession (if you don't, go get one from your local travel agents, so you can look at the terms and conditions).0 -

if we're going to the Studios park in the morning, we always aim to get there for around 9.30am. We usually get through the turnstiles at that time and through Studio One. Sometimes the rides are already just opening, sometimes they are not open until 10am. Worth 30 minutes of your time though, especially for the Toy Story Playland rides and Crush.
