Going to Disneyland Paris in a few weeks. Our son is 3, how strict are they on enforcing the age limit for tickets? Obviously if we can get him in without paying it would be a big saving for us, and we'd probably be able to go for two days instead of one.

If he's big for his age, or looks his age, they may ask for proof of his age before they'll let you in without a park ticket for him.

Was at Disney Paris in August.

I took a NHS headed letter from the physio with details of disability - had lots of medical terms on it. They did ask for a disabled card but we don't have. They photocopied the letter. I think it was at least a year old. Take the DLA letter as well - I can't remember what is written on one of those. If you get carer's allowance, take that letter as well. However to be safe - I would get an up to date Dr letter detailing the condition - especially if queueing is a problem - then you will find it easier to get an access pass.

When you go to get your ticket - there is a booth for people with disabbilities so use that one.

Finally if you are going with P & O and a car, you will get a free adult ticket.

no, there are no storage facilities for bags etc at the rides. On all of them, you can take bags on the rides with you (ie hooked around your arm, or between your feet etc).

If he is sitting in his pushchair when you go through the gates they will never notice, never saw anyone get stopped.

    Hoping someone can help me!

We're off to Paris on the 2nd October and doing either 3/4 days at Disney. We were going to buy tickets on the gate as my eldest DS is autistic and I was hoping to go in as his carer for free. I assumed the consultants letter confirming his condition (dated 2006!) and confirmation of his DLA would be sufficient. I have just seen that they want a medical certificate dated within the last 3 months confirming his condition!

As DS's condition isn't something we are up and down to the Dr's with every other week, we don't have a medical certificate. I'm going to bite the bullet and ask at the Dr's tomorrow but I can see the receptionist rolling her eyes already. Has anyone offered up the DLA confirmation at the gates and been allowed through as a carer?
(I know it sounds a bit cheeky as we have our non autistic children with us too but I am risking having to pay to get in and then spend the rest of the day sat in the carpark if he decides he can't handle it!)

Also a bit worried about carrying our passports round with us if not necessary - do they ask for proof of the disabled persons ID?

My DS has autism and we got a free carer ticket and Easy Pass last time. I had a GP letter, and I took his DLA letter. I think they only looked at the letter, and didn't ask any questions. I'm not sure about ID as we were buying annual passes too so we had all sorts with us! I'd definately get the easy pass - it allows you to get right up to the ride so DS can see what it is - and if he won't go for it, you won't be the first to have walked away! There are plenty of quiet corners if needed. Any more questions just ask!

    Have a great time!
