Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hi,
My eyes are hurting from scanning threads for this (and a new mobile phone, lol) so apologies for asking questions that have no doubt been answered.
We are staying at the Sequoia Lodge for 4 days/3nights (2 adults/2 children) and trying to figure out whether to go for the Half Board option or not.
I would like to do either Cafe Mickey and/or the Princess dinner (son would prefer Mickey and daughter the Princesses). I've still not decided whether to do one or both.
Would the premium Half Board be best if doing both (approx £370?) or should I consider being careful with meals (eg) McDonalds/free breakfast during the day and counter service at night and decide between Cafe Mickey or the Princess Dinner.
I know my daughter will see the Princesses at the park but I know she'd love to see them in the restaurant and have them dancing etc while she's there.
Any comments/suggestions would be MUCH appreciated as this is the only thing left to book and pay for before we go

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! we've booked tickets to go when we are over in france. 5 adults, a 4year old and a 7month old.
we can go any day from 1st-13th august - Im assuming all will be really busy but thats when we're there so any ideas on the better day/week or anything?
we are driving and parking.
as we only have 1 day (and are fully prepared to be there ALL day) what should we aim to do? what should we avoid?
any hints and tips for having a fantastic day that caters for a 4 year old, 7 month old, 3 in mid-late 20's and 2 in their 50's?
with the baby can he go on rides without height restrictions or can they not be on laps etc?
oooooooooooooooh we're all so excited, we went to the USA one 15 years ago but never been to this one and cant wait! highlight of our holiday. wish we werent doing it in a day but we are so just want to work out the best day!
thnks guys! this is a great thread.
It will be busy every day in your trip - but weekdays will still be a bit quieter than weekends. If you can get to the park gates by 9.30am, you'll be able to get in and have a wander on Main St Usa, possibly be able to ride one of the Main St vehicles etc. At 10am the park will open proper, if you only have one day you should really stick to the main park, although there is lots going on for little ones in the Studio park these days.
Get fastpass for any rides you can, early in the day, as in August the fastpass tickets will probably be have run out by noon. I never took a really little one to DLP, so I'll have to let others advise you which rides are best. Don't miss the Once Upon a Dream Parade, and stake out your spot early in August to get an unobstructed view (park your buggies etc with an adult or 2 at the ropeside, then take it in turns to head off for cool drinks etc until its nearly parade time).
In August it might be difficult for your little one to get many autographs and pictures without queuing for hours, or having to deal with the scrums (not good). But he might get to meet characters with minimum queuing at Woodys Roundup at the back of Frontierland, this is quite civilised and you'll get the times of the character appearances on the park programme you can pick up as you enter the park. Another option for characters in August would be a character lunch at Cafe Mickey (book ahead, it will be busy) - lots of characters, they all come to each table so no scrumming at all, and you can order a couple of pizzas and some drinks for your table, so it doesn't have to cost the earth. The characters are there until after 2pm each day, so you could have your lunch late-ish while the park is at its busiest.
If it gets mad busy in the afternoon, take some time out and let little ones play in the Pirate Beach or Pocantas Village play areas in the park, then maybe head to the Hyperion Cafe in Discoveryland, this has a big seating area where they show classic Disney cartoons and sometimes have a tam tam African drummers show.
From around 6/7pm, the park should get much quieter, as local guests will be heading home. So you should get more rides in after this, until its time for the evening Fantillusion parade and then fireworks at the end of the evening.

I personally don't think half board is worth it, any level, because the exchange rate was so bad when the rates were set by Disney.
You can pay in advance for both Cafe Mickey and the Auberge meal and add it to your Disney booking - I believe this does give you a fair saving on the Princess meal, but not for Cafe Mickey. We do Cafe Mickey for dinner each time we go, but we don't pay for the set meal, we just choose a pizza to share (they are huge) and have some drinks and possibly a dessert.0 -
Thanks for the response BalletShoes - how much do you pay for the pizza and drinks? The 4 of us would be happy with that so maybe leaving the Half Board option may work out cheaper for us.
Maybe I'd be cheaper paying for the Auberge in advance and then just doing Cafe Mickey/McDonalds etc once there.0 -
The pizzas are between 14 and 18 euros each, depending on toppings. Kids drinks are around 3 euros, adults 4 or 5 euros. One pizza to share is easily enough for me and my daughter, who is 9.0

basically as long as when you book you press that you want the hotel with park tickets (£20 more expensive than without) you get them.
the next page was just generic as it comes up with every order.
go check out their website price wise as its £150pp cheaper than the official disney site!
Thanks! I had exactly same confusion yesterday when i saw that page! well, i too was going to call them but not anymore! i will book straight away as Eurostar website is the cheapest!0
