How long do you want to stay for snowedunderitall? Park tickets may be the biggest expense for you, as you will all need park tickets. For park tickets only, check out attraction tix, 365 tickets etc to get an idea of prices.

Disney is doing up to 40% off their hotel/park ticket packages, maybe if you play around on the site you'll find a deal to suit? The Santa Fe and Cheyenne are the lower rating hotels at DLP, but both of them are absolutely fine as a base, and you have the advantage of getting Extra Magic Hours (2 hours extra in the mornings where you can ride the Fantasyland and some Discoveryland rides without non-hotel guests being around). This would suit your children down to the ground, as the Fantasyland rides are among the busiest once the park opens to all guests at 10am.

Some of the younger children's rides are 2-to-a-car, but lots aren't, and there are shows, parades etc to keep you all happy and amused throughout the day and evening.

If you can't find a 40% off deal with any of the onsite hotels, there are many offsite hotels near to DLP. Probably the cheapest in July would be the Etap Val d'Europe, or the Premiere Classe at Bussy St Georges. Both of these are a train stop or 2 from DLP, but the journey is only a few minutes, and the trains are very frequent (ie every 10 minutes or so). Google on alpharooms, sunshine.co.uk, travelrepublic etc for hotels at Disneyland Paris, see what comes up :).

We use Easyjet, and take the TGV train straight from the airport to DLP (this takes 10 minutes, and can be cheaper than any other form of transport, if you're travelling on the TGV on an off-peak time of the day). I can get a one-way on the TGV for £22ish total, for me and my DD who is 9. You can check prices, timetable etc on the Rail Europe site.
There are private shuttle transfers too, and the VEA coach which goes to DLP from CDG - but both of these would cost you around 45 euros upwards each way.

Personally, I don't think any of the half board plans for DLP are very good value for money these days. There is a McDonalds in the Village and there are counter-service restaurants in the parks, these with your complimentary breakfast at your hotel would be by far your cheapest way of eating at DLP. There is a little convenience store inside the train station at DLP which sells baguettes, snacks, drinks etc much cheaper than anywhere else around DLP, and avoid buying snacks and drinks in the parks if you are on a budget, they are all very expensive.

Just back from a fantastic trip to France with DLP at either end! This was our first visit with our campervan. We stayed 2 nights in the DLP car park using my Annual Pass, and had 2 great days. Then we travelled south, stopping for back at Disney on the return. We had a wonderful time all round.
Sorry you were disappointed by some things being closed Uncle Buck - hope you still had a good time - there's still loads to do!
We were so proud of ds who spoke to lots of characters, and even got some autographs - he has autism and used to be terrified of them. The staff were really helpful, and Captain Jack is his new hero.
Have you had any more thoughts snowedunderitall? Kids 3 and 6 will love it. In most Disney hotels you get a kettle or can hire one - handy for pot noodle things for supper helps keep costs down.
Be the change you want to see :j

Can you really stay in a camper van/caravan in the Disney parking lot? Do they charge overnight fees for that?

Honey I Shrunk the Audience is no more I'm afraid - that area is being changed into a Captain EO Tribute show.

    Brilliant! :T
I first saw CE at Disneyworld in 1988 and we saw it this year at Disneyland in LA when we were stranded (due to the volcanic ash cloud) in April .
We've been in two minds about a trip to DLP, but now it'll be worth the trip for Captain EO alone!

They only charge the daily parking fee you have to pay anyway, 17 euro for a camper, although I have seen a lot who paid for one day, then stopped for several nights. Disney staff "sticker" the van, but didn't do much more. As you pay on entrance to the car park, unless you leave they don't really have a way to enforce further payment anyway, although their is an office by the entrance to the theme park.
We have season tickets, so parking is free for us anyway.
We've done this several times, I have written a review on

Ah now, from what I understand, its not the old Captain EO show - its a "tribute", so shorter and with not so many special effects. I didn't see the original, so have no idea what you'd be expecting, or what is actually included in the tribute. There might be something on DLRP Magic or Disney Central Plaza?

Hi all, we've just booked for DLP in February, as we booked our flights and hotel(Santa Fe) separate we now need transport from Paris CDG airport to said hotel. I have had a price of 100 euro on the VEA bus, can't get a price yet for the train. Can anyone advise any other travel options for 2 adults and 1 child?

    TIA Paul.

you can put in the same day of the week/time of the day you want to use the TGV, on the Rail Europe/sncf sites, and get a good idea of the TGV train price that way (the fares haven't increased more than £1 in the last 2 years I've used the TGV).

ie if you're going on a Wednesday and want to catch the TGV at 10.30am, choose a Wednesday next month and see what the fares are (as you tend to get the best prices if you book at least 10 days in advance).

The only other option really is a private shuttle bus, but this will be more expensive than the VEA (quicker though, as no timetable or other guests to delay you).
