    Hiya,

with regard to the original query, it is not that much hassle doing gare du nord to marne la vallee. One metro stop to chatelet les halles, then over the other side of the platform for the marne la vallee train on Ligne A, which takes about half an hour. got to admit, flying into CDG then getting the TGV (which takes 11 mins) does beat this for me tho.

We stay at the benotel my explorers hotel which is one of the outer disney hotels, rooms for 4 are about £60, and it is great for kids, clean and comfy. shuttle bus runs every 12-15 mins takes about 6 mins, and it is a half hour walk if you like walking (we do). 24 hour garage for snacks is 10 min walk from hotel. Of course there is the price of the passes to consider. Another poster mentions annual passes and these are well worth looking at, even if you are only going for 3 days (less than this and it isn't cheaper) but better if you are a group of 5 as you get an extra 20% off. Francilien pass is a bargain, but be very aware of the ban for day 2/3 of your hols.

Before we had 4 kids we always used to do hotels a couple of metro stops (10 mins or so) from MLV and had rooms as cheap as £25, but you do have the train to get, and there is little entertainment in the hotels. Now we are 6, we have two rooms to get, so the benotel is cheaper as it does great rooms for 6 inc breakfast, and the kids love the child friendly environment.

  • Hi

We are thinking of hiring a villa (20 miles from disney)out next May and will visit Eurodisney for either 1 or 2 days. We have only been to Disney USA before and know it wont be a patch on that but we are looking for the best day ticket prices as we dont want to stay at a hotel.

    Where are the chepast places?

Also are there any offers on ferry crossings to Calais? Is it quite wheelchair friendly in Paris?

    Thanks

Or you can got to the Disneyland Paris site via Quidco.

If you then buy each ticket as a separate transaction you get £5 back per ticket. Worked for me in the summer.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

Hopefully some of the previous threads on the subject may help you beat your current price.

  • sorry link doesnt work ,,,,,bump
  • 24 hour, I would say thats not a bad price.
everything is expensive at eurodisney, though there is an enormous hypermarket very close, with all hotels running a shuttle service to it Via the fashion village, well worth a trip to stock up on goodies cheap.
We stayed at the Dream castle and tended to eat here as it offered far better food than some of the appaling resturants in the disney village.
  • that's a good price I think.
We have paid £676 for hotel (cheyenne) and £300ish for eurostar for 7 nights in April. For 2 adults and two children.
And that was using the stay and play free and an early booking discount.

You do get your park tickets included as well so I think you've got a good deal.

Don't know where you are travelling from, but if you live in Kent your rail travel to Ashford International can be free if you show your eurostar ticket - we are going to do this in April, rather than leave the car at Ashford like last time.

That price sounds about right if you have booked the train and the hotel seperately - we are going on Monday for 3 nights/4 days. Don't forget to call Disneyland Paris (number on their website) and book the Disney Express (only if getting the Direct Route though) and you can check in at the end of the day as they'll take your luggage to your hotel and you get your tickets on the train - you'll get more from your day of arrival that way. It costs £14 per adult (kids are free).

Also, if driving to Ashford you might want to consider staying in the Holiday Inn in Ashford. You get breakfast and they keep your car for 7 days and get you a taxi (included) to and from the station. Considering the parking costs around £50 for 4 days at Ashford Long Stay car park and don't mention the price of breakfast (£25 for 3 of us!!!!!!!!) it is worth it - it'll save any rushing around on the day you leave and you can have a leisurely breakfast before going to the station. It has just cost us £98 and it is near the shopping outlet village in Ashford so you can get an afternoon/day of shopping in before you leave.

Take some snacks with you for the train - it is pricey. I just come to see what i can take over there in my case because of the Foot & Mouth restrictions.

At the end of the day, yes the restaurants are expensive but it is cheaper to eat during the day than in the evening so eat then. Places like Cafe Mickey are expensive but Rainforest Cafe is not too bad - but, my opinion is that you go for the whole 'Disney' holiday experience and that includes the rubbish food you are going to get when you are there. If you want to eat excellent food in the restaurants then you can but it does cost a lot of money - again, it is all part of the Disney Experience as you get the charachters in as well but you can eat in Pizza Planet for the same price as Pizza Hut and there is a Mcdonalds there as well. I guess you would pay the same for food as if you did if you ate out every night and day - the difference is that you can't get away from it unless you are staying at Davy Crockett were you can go self catering. You are not there for long so I guess it is noce to take in one restaurant a day, RFC (which is a must), Planet Hollywood (never been but some great lunchtime deals), Cafe Mickey (if they give you their 'set menu' list ask for their other menu which is MUCH cheaper!!) and I have heard Annette's Diner is good as well. Of course, you then have the other restaurants inside the parks - there is not a lot inside MGM so eat before you go in there.

    HTH.

    Looking forward to Monday!! Hurrah!!
