The last 2 times I have tried to buy my AP at the Guest Realations window by left luggage we have had to buy day passes and swap them so I figured it was best to advise others to do the same. If you have managed to buy yours at the ticket booths then I guess it depends who you get.

Are you renewing yours? My father had a letter last week to say he can get 18 months for the price of 12 if he renews next month. It's something they seem to do off an on quite regularly.

The first year I bought my pass I used it so often my average entrance price was £6 per day!!!

I think the only hotel in disneyland which cater for larger families is Hotel Explorer, this is just 5mins free shuttle ride to the parks & tons to do for the kids in the hotel itself

theres an option to select on there and i think it also bought up davy crocket ranch, disneyland hotel and newport bay club

Hello...hoping someone will be able to help me...I'm new to this...
I am going to DP (for the first time) in July with my family. We are doing it cheap - renting a gite about 8km from DP for a week and driving back and forward to DP for 4 days.
I have had a look at buying tickets - on their own, not as part of a package. Attractiontix seems to offer the best deal just now with 4 days tickets for £109 adult/£93 child.
Prices jump up on 2 April to £122/£104.
It says tickets are valid for 6 months, so if I buy now at the cheaper price, they should be good for July, right? Seems obvious, but I want to be sure before I buy tickets only to be told they're not any use. I have tried contacting attractiontix but no reply yet.
Also does anyone have any experience of using attractiontix.co.uk?
    Thanks!

yes they should be valid 6 months from date of purchase

Regarding character meals, I really like breakfast at the Plaza Gardens. Not only is the food good, but if you book an early sitting you get to walk up Main St. before the park opens which is fab for photos etc. and a really magical experience.

This may have changed, but it used to be that if you're staying onsite you got a discount on breakfast here as technically you've already paid them once for breakfast as part of your package.

You can book in advance for any of these options on +33 01 60 30 40 50 or when you get there. I would advise if you want to book for the Auberge that you call ahead.

Regarding the meal plan. I used it for the first time last year and it saved us lots, but that was just as the exchange rate went southwards and Disney hadn't adjusted their prices accordingly. Nowadays I'm not sure they're as competitive. We used ours to see Buffalo Bill's Show (which is another good dining option) and also as part payment on a nice meal at the DL Hotel.

Apparently theyve changed this now, its somewhere else, only on certain days and apparently no characters :( or so we were told when we asked in dec

hiya we went to sequoia lodge, its quite reasonably priced and although there is a shuttle you could easily walk to the parks. the staff speak quite good english and are very helpful.
the 40% off looks like a good offer we were planning on going again.
we booked through thomas cook who book direct with disney anyway now so prices should be similar. if you book online it might be worth using quidco for cashback or i think barclaycard give you a discount if you pay thomas cook on there.
    have a good time.

That's a shame. I'm guessing it's cost-cutting as they used to have character breakfasts in several locations. I still stand by my recommendation to eat at Plaza Gardens though as the food's very nice and good value too.

If you're looking for value (and don't mind not having a pool) I would recommend Hotel Cheyenne as most kids really like the wild west theming. It's a little further out and will probably require using the busses (although it can be walked), but you might want to do that with 2 tired kids at the end of the day for most hotels. The best place to start for prices will be with Disney themselves, at least that way you have something to beat. If you're looking at travelling with Eurostar I find their combined prices pretty reasonable. As above if you're looking at visiting for 3 days or more you could do worse than to book separately and buy annual passes. Expedia usually have good rates on room only and are also offering 30-40% off.
  • Hello again
Having looked into the annual passes, this is definitely the way to go for us. It seems you can purchase online and get them sent to your house - by purchasing through the French DP website.
Does anyone have any experience of doing this?
I want to be organised before I go and have paid for as much as possible. Especially if the prices are going to go up, which I'm sure they will on 2 April.
    Thanks

I don't think you can order online from the French website with a UK address. You may be able to print out a voucher to get round this, but you may still have to exchange that for a real ticket when you get there.

I have tried in the past, but couldn't get it to work. I suppose you could ask the owner of the Gite if you could use their address and then change it when you get there?
