you may get Qed about the childrens surnames. My eldest son who is from a previous relationship has his dads surname (so is different to mine, hubbys and youngest son )and we got asked at Eurotunnel what the relationship was.You should bring a letter just to be on the safe side, from the childrens parents stating it's ok for you to be taking them out of the country etc.

Having a passport doesn't mean you have permission and you might get someone on an 'off day' at customs. I would take the letter just to be safe.
Don't forget all the car documents when driving too.
Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

thanks, think id rather spend 2 mins getting a letter then having any sort of hassel at customs. better to be safe then sorry i wudnt wanna spoil any holiday by getting asked.
yeh got warning triangle, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, hi vis vests, gb sticker and beam benders. passports and health cards plus insurance.
will take insurance, log book and mot plus some spare bulbs just incase.
the only thing im abit bothered about is if we get a puntcure because our spare wheel is a space saver so will have to get it fixed over in france which could be fun. has anyone else ever had this problem.
    thanks again

  • Hello,

hoping someone maybe able to help.

Thinking of doing a 2 night 3 day trip. I'm guessing on day 3 you got to check out by 12 or something. Does anyone know if you can leave your luggage at the hotel to pick up later? Guessing this is a common issue for people who want to go to the park on their final day but have luggage...

    Thanks!

    yes you can

assuming you are going by train, i believe there is also an option where you can get the hotel to transfer your luggage to the station so that its ready for you when you have finished in the park

we usually drive, and just load the car up before we go the park on the final day

I stayed in the newport bay hotel and was able to leave cases until later. You get given a receipt and they are kept secured, although they advise you not to leave valuables inside
