Is it stupidly cold in March? Will there still be the main attractions and stuff open?

Main attractions - depends on what you want as there are lots aimed at different age ranges. The majority of the stuff every day of the year is open unless it is closed for refurb or adverse weather, a lot of the rides are indoors too. I stood in torrential rain when I went and the rides and parades still carried on. If you get torrential rain every day then you are very unlucky but take some really good waterproof clothing and you'll be fine.

Some of the park sit down restaurants might be closed so bear this in mind. I have never managed to find Pizza Planet open when I have been.

The weather in Paris pretty much equals what we have here, the rain we had while there you got in England the day after. It might be a 1 or 2 degrees warmer as it is not that far away. And March can vary these days really so you cannot be sure until March arrives.

I always go in November and because of the walking and rides inside it is not that bad, just ensure you have a good waterproof coat, wellies for the kids and hat and gloves. Just to keep yourself covered for all eventualities as they are expensive to buy if you need them while they are there.

PS. I still cannot get over how fantastic Crushes Coaster was, the best ride there. My DD aged 7 went on it and absolutely loved it. I worried the whole time she was on it that she might fall out or something but she went on 4 times and still wanted more. LOL!!
  • We went 8th -11th last year and it was fleece weather with the odd shower. (I did take thermals hats and gloves as well in case!)

Pretty much all the rides were going but some of the shows from the winter season ended on the Sunday and the Summer Season started a couple of weeks later. Its worth downloading the weekly schedule from the Disney site the week before so you can check whats shut. Buzz Lightyear closed the day after we arrived so we had about 4 goes that day!!

    Cheers
  • Hey Guys!

I am booked to go to DLP in March and it's mine and my family's first holiday abroad.

I am getting myself in a panic now over all the things that need to be sorted!!

I haven't received any paper confirmation for my booking, eventhough it was booked back in September, is this normal? I received email confirmation but nothing in the post?

Who did you book with?? As long as you have your email confirmation for the hotel then you will be fine. How are you getting there?

    Hi Blue Monkey,

    Thanks for the reply!

I booked direct through the DLP website using the all meals free offer. We are planning on travelling by Eurostar, as it seems cheaper then flying.

Then email confirmation is fine ICQ, this is all I had, you just show it at the check in desk. Where are you staying?

On the day you leave you can leave the cases at reception and they take them to the station for you where you pick them up, it is called the Disney Express. I think there is a 5 Euro charge but the lady gave it to us for free (I do think this was because we had my disabled son with us in a buggy so not saying it will be free for everyone). If you book it before you go then it will be £15 pp.

Do not worry about booking the Disney Express on the way out as by the time you arrive you can get to your hotel (use the bus) and check in straightaway. It is quieter for CI at the hotel during the day and quicker than waiting in line for the Disney Express from experience. We was able tog et into our hotel room at 2pm, if not then you can check in and leave your cases in reception.

Eurostar you can choose your seats when you book online, print your tickets out and scan them at the gate. Book your tickets on the Eurostar ASAP as the longer you leave it the more expensive they get.

I'd recommend upgrading to Leisure Select as you get more space. It is usually empty, we had a whole carriage to 6 of us when we went out and in. It was HEAVEN and well worth the extra cost as we could sit where we liked and spread out.

Also to add, if you fly you cannot get the Disney Express and also add the costs of transfers onto that. If staying in London overnight there is a Premier Inn almost opposite St Pancras Station.
