I am going in the February half term and can't wait :j:j
Do you think £500 would be enough for Mon -Thurs, It is me and Husband and our two children 10 and 5. We are staying in the hotel so get breakfast, and I have booked and paid for a character dinner in cafe Mickey and also the Buffalo bill show with dinner. I was going ot bring some drinks and snack things with me. I can't really afford much more than £500 spending money but if people think I would need more I could try and do some extra overtime in the next few weeks, I don't want to scrimp and be watching every penny when I am there.

    Thanks
    Jules.

I'd seriously take as much as i could muster. Last time i went was just over a year ago. For example a pint of lager was about £6.50 in the hotel bar. A Disney Snow White kids dress was best part of £75 . Also lunch in the Buzz lightyear resturant was best part of £50. So be aware it is seriously expensive there.

We ate here twice in December as we enojoyed it soo much, its a bit more expensive than cafe mickey about £15ish but its an all you can eat buffet and the character intervention is much better. Its also much lovely decorared and we had lovely view of the park lit up at night. Under 3s eat here free too as its a buffet and the staff are much friendlier too. I so wish I could afford to go back I must stay off this thread

we have premium meal vouchers, so wont cost us anymore to eat in either one.
both come in the same category.

have been in Cafe Mickey every year for the past 7 or 8 years, and have found the staff extremely rude and uninterested, plus food average last few times - but kids love it there cos they get a free cup!!!!

are you hoping to buy gifts etc out of that £500?
if so, u may need your credit card as well !!

if its just food, and you are taking snacks, plus you have booked a couple of dinners, you will have more than enough.

  • Thankyou everyone, it looks like I will have to try and do that overtime after all.

Thanks for the link to the Disney forum, I have posted a question there
  • Hi,
I'm planning to go to DLP at the end of feb, but want to experience Paris too. Will be staying for 3 nights, friday-monday and plan to visit DLP on one of these days. Have got a few quotes for hotel and eurostar for around £350-£400 (for 2 people), however the hotels are near Paris and I need to know the best way to get around the city? Have looked at the Paris metro pass, which includes all public transport but is quite expensive at £132.63 for two people, (6 zones needed to get to DLP). Has anyone got any other options? And is the metro easy to use?
Any other tips will be grateful!

    Thankyou

    Charlotte:p

seriously, you'll be fine - just keep the kids out of the shops!!
most of it is overpriced junk anyway...

the dresses/outfits etc you can get in M&S or DisneyStore for half the price back home, so not worth buying in DLP.
Its just the odd cuddly toy they are going to want, at £20/30 a pop, depending on size.
Plus a few pens and notebooks i guess.

if you got b'fast covered, plus snacks in your backpack, plus a couple of dinners sorted already - all you are going to need is a few quid for teas/coffees and lunch. The rest of the time you will be watching parades or queing to see characters or go on rides, so you won't need any dosh!

For the times you dont have dinners booked - go to New York sandwich Deli in the disney village in the evening. Ive been going 10yrs and cant find better value anywhere in any of the parks or hotels.

good luck, and dont stress, you'll be fine
