We want to stay outside the park and buy a 3 day pass. Please can anyone advise where to stay or how to go about it?
Thanks I'm very confused. Don't want to stay at the hotels I would prefer a cottage out side, up to an hour away. No more though.0 -

Hi ladychelle
I can answer this too, I have been going since 2000 and love the place, the next trip will be my 9th.
It really depends on what food you like. There are a number of forums, dedicated to Disneyland
http://www.dlp.info/Guide/
I will also try and find the one I had about a food guide there
One place I would avoid is King Ludwigs, its overpriced and service was shocking last time we were there.
Planet Hollywood is good
Rainforest Cafe is ace if you have kids
Cafe Mickey is also worth going to for Lunch instead of eating in the park, as its usually very quiet around that time
If you want to treat yourself, eat in the Disneyland Hotel restaurant, its worth every penny in our opinion.
Any other questions just shout0 -

for 3 nights we ate at the hotel, no need to book, just take a crash helmet and boxing gloves! :rotfl: (maybe a bit harsh) we were there for 6pm, but there time keeping was a bit off, they dident open the doors untill 6.25pm. we also ate at annettes diner, food nice, big portions!!
my advice is to take a flask! hire a kettle for 30euros (which you will get a full refund upon return) but take some cheep mugs, as we bought some costing 10euros each. buy your autograph book as soon as you get through the gates, but take a pen, as there 2.50euros each! take some fruit for snacks, and it seams you need to forget all your manners when you join a queue.
maybe im still tired, and a bit grumpy!! my feet still hurts from 5 days of walking solid, and i can dot-to-dot the bruises on my body from the scrums!
it was lovley to go, and the kids did enjoy it there, but my youngest (4) was scared to meet the characters after the first couple, because of the pushing and shoving.
hope you enjoy your trip chelle xx3 wonderfull kids :female::female::male:, 1 fab hubby, 2 beautifull cats and 1 very large dog = my family!

It is, I found it after my 4th trip there, but has come in pretty useful. We have eaten in a fair few of the restaurants in Disney.
There are plans to extend and open new restaurants in the village. I have always thought a good chinese restaurant would be good, at it seems its on the horizon
Another great site for planning and getting in the mood

we were thinking about walking from the parks back to the hotel to avoid the mad bus scrums, does anyone know if there is a map with the hotels and parks overview so i can get my bearing with it a bit before we go. We are staying at the santa fe, i have heard that you just follow the stream between the santa fe and cheyenne, and only takes about 10 mins but where exactly does that bring you out at the other end?0
-
Going from the Santa Fe it brings you to one end of the Disney Village where McDonalds is. From the parks head down past Annette's Diner through the Village towards the balloon and walk past the New York hotel and you'll find the path to the Sante Fe and the Cheyenne. Its a nice walk of an evening or afternoon.0
