  • We stayed at the explorers as there are 6 of us and yes we got our passes straightaway and left our luggage in the lockers that are provided free of charge.

I may have missed it but I couldn't seem to buy a cup of tea in the park, only coffee so I am very glad that I decided to take teabags, milk, plastic cups etc. I filled a flask with boiling water in the moring then could make my tea whenever I wanted. I also bought some of those vending maching type drinks, they are sealed and just need hot water, I bought hot chocolate and soup ones. I did have a large pram which helped as I didn't need to lug everything around just put it under the pram.

do you have to prebook your breafast times in all disney hotels?

I have stayed in Hotel Santa Fe, Sequoia Lodge, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, and Disneyland Hotel, with the exception of the Disneyland Hotel where you can have breakfast when you want, we have had to pre book breakfast times. Although, I dont think they hold you to the time, we have been early and late down for breakfast, and they have always let us in.

One thing we did do was take some of the tea bags with us into the park, and just asked for a cup of hot water, which we used to make tea.

    Hi,

It all depends which hotel you are staying in, when we stayed at the Newport Bay hotel on the day we checked in we where given a breakfast card for each morning of our stay that you hand over when you go for breakfast. The cards have times printed on them eg 7.30-8.30am but when we arrived we where given 7.30am which i said wasn't suitable and we where told not to worry about the times as you can go down anytime you want while breakfast is on which i think was between 7.30 - 10.30am, everyday we went down at a different time and no-one bothered. The only exception to this was when we stayed at the Disneyland hotel as you are not given a time so you can go for breakfast anytime you want.

    Hope this helps

I am going to Santa Fe on thursday, and I was wondering if there is a safe in the room or you have to hire one.
  • There is no safe in Santa fe and I dont think you can hire them either, I have stayed there twice and not noticed. Not sure about reception boxes though they may have those, sorry cannot help more.

No safe in Santa Fe, but reception has safety deposit boxes (for a charge)
  • we have just got back from disneyland (early this morning)
we stayed at santa fe for 5 days.
everyone seams to really rave about disney, im going to be honest, whalst yes, it was good, and the park was very clean and amusing to look around, 5 days was just to long!
everywhere was just crazy, to get breakfast a fight actually broke out between 2 men pushing and shoving, evening meal was the same scrum, 150 people trying to push and shove there way on to the shuttle, 60mins plus wait for most of the rides and fastpass dident seam to be available or not working on the rides we wanted! typical!
when a character appeared, people just went mad, grown adults were shoving little uns out of there way so they could get a picture of themselfs stood next to them, my 2 girls went flying many times. twice we got to the front of the line, and the character walked away.
the food was nice, we were all blown away when we set our eyes on the castle, and the parade and train was fantastic.
we did meet a few other english people, who also shared the same opionion.
i would go back again, but next time only 2 days.
we took a flask and hired a kettle, that saved us a fortune!
soooo glad we did the hb option though.
3 wonderfull kids :female::female::male:, 1 fab hubby  , 2 beautifull cats and 1 very large dog = my family!

I agree 5 days at the Santa fe is far too long.

When we last went with my daughters we had 6 days there in the Newport Bay club, but broke that up by going to La Vallee outlet and mall, and also swimming in our hotel. However unless you have been before, you kinda dont know what to expect. It was very chilled out as we did not rush everywhere.

It does get a bit irritating when adults go mental for the characters. We stayed in the santa fe once, and will never stay there again. IMO its the worst hotel in Disney. The cast members could really do with better organising the character meets, of course a better way is to have a character breakfast, its usually (at least always has when we have been) a lot better.

If you do go again, maybe try and stay in the Disneyland hotel or Hotel New York, its far more chilled out.
