Beki - I can't quote as it's within quotes, but just want to say I hope you have a great time. Are you off early tomorrow?
Thanks for you reply.
We have been in January before, two years ago, but stayed at the SL, which is said to be more civilised at breakfast time. So, I was asking about the breakfasts specifically iyswim?
We will eat at about 6pm in the evening so not too worried about queues then.
We found the park great in January - saw loads of characters and got a decent photo and time with them all, pretty much. The faves had to be winnie the pooh and eyeore in the hotel lobbey though - masses of time and winnie the pooh kept tickling dd and stopping her from going!
I'm avoiding the weekends altogether.
The first time we went, in 2000, was in February half term, and I swore then I'd never go during a school holiday again! It was mad!
Anyway, have a fab time - you lucky so and so!0 -
9 days to go!! :j
I'm taking leggings for me to wear under my clothes & leg warmers.
Got long johns for my 15 year old (I thought he'd refuse to wear them but he was made up and put them on for his paper round - under his normal pants of course!), they were only £2.50 in Primark, I think OH will probably get some too!
I would like them for my 7 year old but they don't do them that small, I suggested girls thick tights but he refused lol. He will probably wear pyjamas under his clothes.
So if you spot a family that look like they're wearing inflatable suits, that'll be us!
:rotfl: I think we'll all be like that!
Although it looks like it may warm up the week we are there, but perhaps rain a couple of days.
Never mind eh? Won't stop me enjoying myself.
I'd love to see some snow though!0 -

I think I'd prefer the cold than rain, snow would be nice.If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in0 -
Assuming the TGV takes you right into DLP (same station as the Eurostar?), the buses to the hotel are right outside the station. You can't miss them; they are the same ones you use when coming to and from the park.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0

thanks hunyes, we're leaving at 6.30am tomorrow, as it's about an hour to ashford, and the eurostar leaves at 9.13am so want to be there in plenty of time.
i've not stayed at the SL. It always looks so big and posh from the outside - quite daunting to me!lol. It's almost opposite the cheyenne and quite awe-inspiring to look at!
Ahhh as for the breakfasts specifically... we've not found it to be a scrum. Although we've only stayed there the once... maybe we were lucky? Hope not cos we've got quite a few breakkies there this time :rotfl:
Hope you have a lovely time too:beer: xxxx

ALDI have childrens thermals from tomorrow see - http://aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/2867_8478.htm
We're going mid March & I'll be buying some for my 6 & 10 year old in case it's still cold by then as it will probably be impossible to buy thermals at that time of year.
