Has anyone stayed at DisneyParis over New Year's eve recently? Is it recommended?
What's temperature like? Does it tend to be wet/dry?
Are rides open and characters available?

I haven't been, and personally I wouldn't consider it. Its pretty much guaranteed, going on past NYE's, that the parks will be at full capacity levels from afternoon onwards, and this year is still major refurb year at DLP, so you may want to check whats scheduled to be closed for refurb over NYE this year.

The weather at DLP tends to be same as here in the UK, but a couple of degrees colder in winter, and a couple of degrees warmer in summer.

supertrips.net is about your only option outside of DLP themselves these days, if you are a UK resident.

Balletshoes, you are the font of all knowledge as usual! Do you (or anyone else) know how long in advance you can book the Eurostar from Ashford to DLP? I think you can book earlier by phone than online if I remember correctly? Thanks once again.

the direct Eurostar to DLP is usually available to book around 10 months in advance of travel.

The indirect route (one change at Lille International) is bookable 90 days before travel.

Thanks Balletshoes. Just found this on the Eurostar website:

Direct trains to Disneyland® Paris may be booked further in advance by calling 03448 224 777

I think I'll try calling tomorrow even though we're over 11 months away.

Has anyone used this method of buying annual passes? I have read that the best way is turning up and paying at Disney, but I don't want to have to queue for an hour to get the passes with the kids.
We will have 3 adults, 1 child aged 4 and 1 aged 2

it doesn't make any difference, as far as the time it takes to get your actual AP's finalised at DLP, whether you buy from supertrips.net in advance, or whether you do the whole thing at DLP when you arrive. Either way, you're still going to have to go to the AP office inside the main park on your first day there, with your passports as photo ID, to get your permanent AP's made up.

You can, if you want to, buy through the post from Disney themselves, a couple of months prior to your trip. You need to complete a form, have passport photos taken, copies of passports, and the fee payable by card, then send the whole lot through the post. This way, you get your fully-permanent APs posted back to you to your UK address before you go to DLP. This may not be a great option if you want to use your AP's more than once in the year though, as you're losing some time at the start of your AP's validity this way (ie the AP valid from date on a postal AP is the day its made up, not the day you first use it for park entry at DLP).

The Eurostar site is driving me insane! I have read you can book about 6months in advance, but when I select dates for January, which it shows me and give me prices for and lets me add to my booking, it won't let me then progress and tells me to look for dates less than 4 months in advance!!!

    Can anyone help me.

Also I am trying to compare prices with booking via SNCF, as it looks to be coming up cheaper. Has anyone booked via SNCF and found it to be cheaper than Eurostar?

P.S. Hello and Thank you :D:D

The Eurostar timetable typically changes towards the end of the year, and I've found in the past that you may not be able to book for January until maybe October or November.
