Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Ah right, ok.
Thank you for your reply.
Have you had much success with finding tickets more cheaply via SNCF or am I better to stick with Eurostar direct.
I am currently trying to price up all the options... driving, flying or train. Driving comes out the cheapest, but it would be a long slog and is only cheaper if we do the whole trip in one go as opposed to booking hotels stopovers before the eurotunnel/ferry.
Train is more relaxing for us adults, plus my husband hates flying, so is probably slightly preferable than flying... However PRICE wins overall so if we go on the train/eurostar it need to cost about the same or at least not much more than flying.
I really am struggling to make sense of all the different prices on the trains, it varies even by time of day... And trying to match up the connections with other cheap connections is turning out to be a nightmare.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

the indirect Eurostar via Lille won't be available to book as a through-ticket until 90 days prior to travel, at that time if your trip is not in school holiday time you might get the whole trip for around £70 per adult return on the indirect Eurostar.
I have only used Eurostar once, as its usually cheaper for me to fly from Luton into CDG and transfer on from there to our DLP hotel.0 -
Flying is coming out a bit cheaper, but not much IF I can get the cheap eurostar tickets. Maybe it is an indirect train I am trying to book. I never thought to check that.
It is school holidays. Ryanair is coming in cheaper than Easyjet. Better flight times too, but going to Beavais airport so longer, dearer transfers!!!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Some advice if anyone knows please?
We were thinking of jumping on the train to go down to the Val d Europe supermarket to grab some food for some of our teatime meals rather than eat in the village ( and cause we want break from mickeymouse )
As someone who doesnt use any trains over here, is this cheap enough to warrant for 4 return? Is there machines or a desk to purchase the ticket ( is it the next stop along the line?? )
What time does the supermarket shut and is it far from the train station? ( cause were with kids )

there's a free shuttle bus which might be cheaper, and less hassle though it can get very busy at times so you'd have to time it well.
This has quite a good map and a link to the timetable if you click on 'by train'

As for getting the RER, it is easy enough, there's a machine to purchase tickets and I think it is 1.40 Euros single for adults, not sure about kids.
the supermarket is an Auchen and is very good - open til 10pm and you'll find everything you need. It's directly across from the train station and where the free bus drops you.
There are plenty of other shops too, and eating places - it is well worth taking a wee break.

adding a dining plan is an amendment to your existing booking, so if Expedia can't do that for her by contacting Disney, she won't be able to do it at all unfortunately.0 -
