Balletshoes - thanks for that. Have had a quick look, and difficult to tell with the Google translation - but at quick glance it looks a lot cheaper, with the equivalent deal (2 nights / 3 days at the Santa Fe - end of Jul) the same Euros to Pounds. Can that be right? And is there any issue booking through the French dlp site, do they send tickets / bookings etc. electronically?

I will look into in more depth, 5 days left of the flash sale but when something is too good to be true, it normally is and I am worried that the package deal would not be the same as the UK site or that I might miss some of the small print, exclusions, what's included etc. in the translation. Have you (or anyone else?) any experience of using the French site yourself?

Thanks again for your help, it's always stressful trying to balance the expectation of the family against a budget!

I used the French site on my last trip (last month :)) as the deal was much better for me than the UK site equivalent.

Phone your bank before you book, as its classed as a foreign transaction and they may block it if they aren't aware in advance that you're going to use the site.

The basic deal is the same as on the UK site - hotel, breakfast, and all park tickets included. Nothing is sent through the post, all confirmation comes to you by email, just leave the country at France, don't try to change it to UK when you book. Your confirmation number and lead passport number is all thats required when you check in - don't worry, its honestly nothing to worry about, and loads of repeat DLP visitors do this when staying onsite :).

The only thing I'd check before booking is what you're getting on the UK site for the price - as the deal on that one at the moment is usually half board included - for 2 nights for the 4 of you that equals around £65 per night worth of food, so in effect you can take £130 off the UK site price, to compare with the French one, if half board is included in the UK price (because I don't think the French one does, but I haven't checked that for July).

eta - yes, just checked - the French flash sale includes no meals - however, you can have your main meal at DLP for less than the value of the half board vouchers included in the UK price, and there does seem to be quite a difference in price between the UK and French flash sale price, so I think I'd still go for the French one.
  • Hi there :hello:

I hope someone can help me. We would like to book a break to Disneyland Paris, and ideally the first week of Summer holidays so w/c 28th July.

I see the French site has a 50% off offer for 28th-31st. I'm happy enough with the price and understand that it includes no meals, but does it include park tickets?

Also I am panicking a bit about getting there and finding our way around We have a 6 month old baby who will need bottles warmed during the journey so we would need to accommodate this and I am petrified of the thought of driving in a foreign country, on the other side of the road with two young children as it could be very stressful. I was thinking the eurostar may be the least stressful option to avoid driving and getting there quickly. I understand that the eurostar goes to Disneyland so it may much less stress to book the Disneyland Hotel but the Eurostar tickets come in around £500 and not sure what is included in the Disneyland Hotel price i.e. tickets etc?

Any suggestions on the best way to go with a young child and nervous driver, best suited accommodation.

    TIA

yes, for a 3-night stay it includes 4-day park tickets for every member of your party aged 3 or over :).

do you really want the Disneyland Hotel? All of the onsite hotels are close enough to walk to the parks (the Santa Fe and Cheyenne are the furthest away and they are still only 15 minutes walk), and I'm assuming with young children you'll be bringing a pushchair for them?

Book Eurostar separately on the Eurostar site - have a play about with the dates, see if any of the cheaper fares are suitable for you. If you are 2 adults with the children don't be afraid of the indirect Eurostar route (you'll see it on the Eurostar site when you choose London to Disneyland Paris) - you change trains at Lille but theres no change of train station.

Hi. Sorry if this has been posted before but I am after some advice/reviews if possible

I have been looking for sometime now at going to disneyland in paris but the eurostar tickets arent avaliable yet for when I want to go.

I was looking today and found a company called 'travel magical' and they have quoted, what appears to be a competitve quote, including euro star. I have searched the company and cant find many reviews on them. Has anyone used this company or know if they are ok?

    Thanks. Liam

no i've not personally used or heard of that company. For information, a competitive price for the Eurostar part of your quote would be £69 return per adult, £49 return per child aged 4 to 11, and free for under-4s.

Balletshoes - took your advice and booked today from the French site, using the 50% flash sale, reservation number printed off - hopefully all will be okay! 2 nights / 3 days at Santa Fe and breakfast on one of those days with Disney Characters worked out at 650 euros (£530 approx).

Kids ( and the adults!) can't wait! Thanks for your help, I'll let all know how we got on.

Anyone any suggestions where to stay night prior and for a couple of nights after? Looking to have a full day in Paris and take the kids up the Eiffel Tower - Premier Inn equivalent??

I'm firmly in the Disney bubble when I go to DLP - but bussy st george would be a good choice for the night before your onsite stay - its 15-20 minutes drive from DLP for the following morning to make the most of your park tickets (arrive at the Santa Fe before 8am on your check-in day and you'll get your park tickets etc and could be in the park for EMH that day :)). Its also on the direct RER train line into Paris, and there are loads of accommodation choices in that area, including Campanile, Premier Classe (very similar to travelodge etc) and I believe theres still a B&B chain hotel (thats its name) next to both of them. Have a google on expedia, travel republic, alpharooms etc for the DLP area, see what comes up

Ibis and Accor chain hotels are also abundant in the DLP area, and there are loads of apartments in val d'europe, which is closer to DLP but a little further away from Paris, compared to bussy st george.

    Thankyou.

Looking at it that way makes this company £47 more expensive. Do the eurostar seats sell quick and always come up at the price you quoted? Im looking at going feb 13th 2015 for 4 days at santa fe or cheyenne

Whats the likleyhood of the officical disney website offering better deals between now and feb, book the eurostar as soon as the dates avaliable and wait for a deal on the site? Altho £466 for 2 adult's and 1 child doesnt seem expensive

£47 extra total for the Eurostar isn't a lot, if the company you've got the quote with are legit and don't increase the price you've been quoted, then i'd probably go for it.
