  • I understand that if you stay at a Disney hotel you get to take advantage of Extra Magic hours but on the website that I am looking at it actually says:

Up to 2 Extra Magic Hours in Disneyland Park - time reserved just for Disney Hotel guests on certain days of the week.

Does anyone know if it is on certain days of the week only and if so which days or does it differ per hotel?

Also we are torn between booking the Santa Fe (cheapest) or the Sequioa (because it has a pool). Are there any other benefits of paying more for the sequoia?

Also do either hotels have mini fridges in the rooms to keep drinks cold for the kids?

its all the onsite hotels, if you know what dates you're going you can check the park opening hours on the calendar on the official DLP site and EMH days are on there too :).

santa fe has no minibar, sequoia lodge does, but you'd need to remove stuff to put kids drinks in - so you may have charges for the minibar to dispute when you check out.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
book it - you won't get cheaper than that :).

Hi Balletshoes, only just got back to this, just booked our tickets, many thanks, I'll probably have more questions the nearer it gets. You should probably get a job as an official Disney promoter with all the useful help you give everyone.

Food - under 3's eat for free pretty much anywhere. So they're best off either eating off your plate, or in buffets they get proper food for free.

Is that 3 and under or under 3s (ie 2 and under)?

its under-3s - once they reach age 3 they need a park entry ticket and you have to start paying for them to eat a buffet restaurants.

I loved the Sequoia Lodge and the pool is great, particularly if you are there in hot weather (we were) but I don't remember a minibar in our room.

Pretty sure we didn't have one, mind you I don't drink so maybe I just wasn't looking for one. It was hot though so I would have liked to put some water in there. I guess I won't find out unless I go back, good excuse?

  • im sorry, this has probably been asked before but i have a couple of questions.

we are staying in santa fe next month. would we need a travel kettle, mugs etc or are they in room?

how are others making drinks for the kids if youre in your room? if theres no drinking water, im just wondering how to do it?

we are just going to book everything once we are there. we are going half board. any tips wheres best to eat?

what shows etc should we book? this is most likely the only time we will be going so dont want to miss anything. have a son (7) and daughter (3), although we are going half term so expecting it to be busy.

also, the baby swap. would this apply to us seeing as our kids arent babies, but are too young for the thrill rides.

any other tips for us? would love to hear them, and thanks in advance!! :)
