May before 29th (a big French public holiday) will be the quietest Uk school holiday this year, without a doubt.
There aren't that many fastpass rides at DLP that all of you as a family would be interested in, and you can access the fastpass machines for every fastpass ride anyway with your park entry tickets (everyone can).0 -

Hi,
I am looking at booking for our family to go to DLP in December this year as a surprise for the children. I know its a way off but I want to get a rough idea of price as need to start saving.
There are 5 of us, 2 Adults, then 3 children who will be 13, 7 & 3. I have looked at the dates 17th December - 21st December online and the only Disney hotels that were coming up that would fit all 5 of us in were the Disneyland hotel at £1950ish or the Davy Crockett Ranch at £736 which is no good for us as we don't drive.
Anyway I've got prices for 2 rooms in the Santa Fe, one room with 1 adult and 2 children is £529 and the other room with 1 adult and 1 child is £267. Is this a good price or should I be waiting for a better deal. If I'm honest this is a much better price than I was expecting but I don't really have any idea of what it would be. Also does the Santa Fe have connecting rooms?
One more thing, does anyone know when the eurostar prices are released for December and roughly what the prices are?
Thank you very much in advance, getting a little excited already and haven't even got to the booking stage yet!!:D0 -

direct eurostar prices for december shouldn't be too long before they are released, if you get them at their cheapest you should be around £70 return each. You will have to book them on the first day they are released to get that price though, so you'll need to keep checking the Eurostar site.
I'd say your Santa Fe price for 2 rooms for you all is a good one, I'd book that. All the onsite hotels have interconnecting rooms - you can't be guaranteed them, but every time I've asked the hotel for interconnecting rooms at the Santa Fe, we've got them. You can put a note on your original booking, then phone the hotel direct a few days before your check-in date to ask again.
eta -when you were pricing your trip, did you put one adult with your 7 and 3 year old in one room? How did you price it up?0 -

Thank you,I think I read somewhere that you said that if you phone up to book you can just pay 15% deposit, is that correct?
I priced up one adult with the 13 & 7 yr old, and 1 adult with the 3 yr old.
Do they tell you in advance when they are going to be released on the website or do you just check daily and then phone through?
Thanks again0 -

yes you can phone to book, pay 15% plus the booking fee, then the rest of the balance is due 60 days before your trip.
Eurostar don't tend to give an exact date when the next batch of seats will be on sale, but if you phone them now they should be able to give you a rough idea of when to look - and then as soon as you see the fares, book them (either by phone or online).0 -
I am looking to book a trip on 28th August for 4 nights for 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 8.
We are looking to stay at one of the Disney hotels and get the Eurostar straight to DLP.
The cheapest that I have found as a package is £1158 for the Santa Fe hotel + tickets +Eurostar.
If I book separately I can get the Eurostar return for £269 and the hotel and ticket package for £818 which is cheaper at a total of £1087.
Is it easier to book as a package or shall I save the money and book separately? Is there anything extra that you get if you book it as a package with eurostar and hotel?
Also if we stayed at the Santa Fe is there anywhere you can buy snacks etc nearby like a supermarket?0 -

last question first - yes, there are convenience stores very near the Santa Fe (there is one at the filling station right outside the entrance to the hotel) also in the train station at DLP, which is right next to the resort park gates and which you pass on your way into the parks if you take the shuttle bus from the Santa Fe. If you want a load of snacks, you might want to take the local train (less than 5 minutes journey time) to val d'europe to the big Auchan supermarket there.
you do get Disney Express included in your package if you book that - this is basically where Disney take your luggage to your hotel for you on arrival at the DLP train station, and you get your park tickets etc on the train, so you can go straight into the parks and check in at your hotel later if you want to. This is worth a total of £32 for your party (kids are free on this service) so its up to you really, whether you want to book a package or do it separately.0
