Hi Clare
Your little one will love the Princess meal. Doubt she will eat a lot though unless she likes smoked salmon - not really a children's food for little ones. It is expensive but we sat where Belle and Prince Charming danced, so we could see them very clearly. One little tip - don't let your little girl go running after any Princess, they do come round to each table and speak to each child individually and ask them a couple of questions ie who is your favourite Princess (Belle asked that and the reply was Rapunzel! Lol ). They then ask if you want to have a photo taken with them. Our 4yr old was quite shy but absolutely loved it and having her photo taken with them - they are "real" to them at that age aren't they .
Bizarrely, my DD LOVES smoked salmon, so that's great!! Ah so they come around like the characters in Cafe Mickey do. Great! The Princess Pavilion was closed one day but open the next. Son and DIL queued with 4 yr old for 1.5 hrs! They didn't have a choice who to see and saw Cinderella. The other one was Snow White. Both of these were really lovely and it was the same Cinderella at the Princess lunch.
This has made me even more glad that we booked the Princess lunch so we don't have to do that!!!!!! Again! lol As long as she can in some way see Cinderella (hoping she'll be there at the lunch) then alls well!We were booked for 12.30pm lunch but went in at 12 noon - far less crowded at that time.
We're booked for 1.30pm (no spaces left earlier appearance) but aiming to get there for about 1pm just in case. The Parades she will love and it's very Christmasy. We saw these three times and the Disney castle at 6.45pm once. It was too cold for them to stay out and we also had dinner early.
Her birthday, the 17th, is the day we're planning on the Princess lunch, face painting, and all the shows and parades. Did you visit santa? Does he have a grotto? We're thinking that maybe on the Thursday would be a good day for that after the birthday hype has faded.....The steakhouse we highly recommend. The food and service was superb. It is just outside the Disney park, going towards Cafe Mickey.
We also had characters come to breakfast at the hotel as we upgraded after two days and this gave us access to a separate breakfast area. The children saw Pluto, Minnie, Mickey, Goofy and they came to each table. 18month wasn't keen though! Lol
Upgrade in what sense? WHich hotel were you in?Oh Princess Dresses - they are €59! I am sure you have one but we wouldn't entertain paying that sort of money when you can get them at home cheaper. L had two and wore them over all her warm clothing - Grandma is good and buys them at least the next size up! . The children were shivering at the Princess Lunch as they didn't wear clothes underneath which we thought was absolutely stupid in that weather.
Oh, that's good to hear!! We splashe dout and bought an official Disney Cinderella dress for her (birthday pressie while we're there) from the Disney store, and was mortified at the price of that! But seeing that price makes me feel a LOT better. lolHave a wonderful time!
Thank you!! We intend to!!

Hello,
A bit of advice is much needed...I'm thinking of getting a trip to dlp for my nephew and nieces Christmas Present.
Live close to London and drive so I'm thinking Eurostar would be best. Will be two adults and 16 and 14yr old (classed as adults?) One night (Saturday) with the 2 day pass around March / April / May time. Should I book separately and when should I book what?? Open to whether to stay at dlp or outside as its only the one night.
Any advice would be much appreciated,
Thanks0 -

yes, anyone over the age of 11 is classed as an adult for DLP, and the Eurostar will probably be adult fare too (although technically speaking they are youths for Eurostar).
You should definitely book your Eurostar fares separately from your accommodation/park tickets. There are no direct Eurostar fares to DLP on Saturdays unless you go in UK school holidays, but there are several indirect fares via Lille. These are released roughly 12-16 weeks before travel, so sort out your dates then book your Eurostar as soon as you can, as the fares only go up in price the longer you leave it.
If you are intending going to DLP on a Saturday and Sunday, at any time of year it will be much busier than going midweek, so you'll need to plan your time there to get the most out of your trip.
A trip before the 2nd week in April will be cheaper than from 2nd week of April on, as March/very beginning of April is classed as low season, rest of April and May is mid season.
You might find a good deal for the 4 of you for one night, including park tickets for 2 days for all of you, in March, on the official DLP site (but you might find the best discounts on the French, or Dutch, or Belgian etc, versions of the official site).
As a rough guide, if thinking about offsite, you're looking at around 50 euros per day per person for DLP park tickets.0 -
Thanks Ballet Shoes,
We have a quote for £888 (£222 each) for a 3 night stay and 4 day park passes at the Euro Disney Hotel. Is this what you would expect to pay??
I'm not sure we would want the full 4 days but would be good to spend 2 full days more relaxed than travelling on the both days if we only stayed the 1 night. We could then do more cultural things on the day of arrival and depart.
So all I'd need to add then is the eurostar,
Thanks for your advice,0 -

which hotel is that? is it the Disneyland Hotel? and which dates is that for?0 -
Yeah think that's the hotel and think its 12th April??

i would check your quote again - as on the official DLP site, for 3 nights at the Disneyland Hotel, including 4 days park tickets for you all, starting 12th April, but not including Eurostar, its £3,500 !
as a rough guide, for 2 adults (well, 2 people aged 12 or over) i usually budget around £400 total (so £200 per person) for 3 nights hotel/4 days park tickets. But I don't check in on a Saturday, as that bumps the price up at DLP. I'd avoid Friday or Saturday check-in dates.0 -
I have a quick question about the annual pass. Ours expire on the 8th April next year, can we still use them on the 8th? Trying to decide whether to go again in Feb half term or squeeze a visit in just before they expire. ThanksWon in 2015 - £100 amazon voucher, bearhug desk0
