It's a bit hard to get the forum search to show proper figures, but seems that the genuine figure of new non spammer threads since midnight is somewhere less that 130 (very ish).

EDIT: revised as I was missing competition ones as I exclude that from my standard search, and those count for quite a few.

No denying they work hard for whoever is paying them and deliver an effective service, unlike the super rich lazy lot making fake, inflated homepage claims off the backs of relatively poor workers.

This forum uses vBulletin yes?

A quick Google search reveals that KeyCaptcha works far better than ReCaptcha at filtering out spambots registrations.

Combine KeyCaptcha with a simple question that only real humans can answer readily and only allow UK IP addresses to register. This should stop spambots registering in the first place.

The above could be done in a matter of hours, I've done similar in the past when running forums albeit on a much smaller scale but if MSE want any help just let me know.
