Pooky - my heart goes out to you and your family. Alex, I'm so sorry about your cat Huggin you both, Cat.x:grouphug:
Thigns I have to be grateful for include:
I passed my NVQ in Business Admin level 3
I haven't smoked since 4pm on 1st August (I only smoked then because my stop date wasn't until 2nd August):o
my husband hasn't smoked since 6th August (his stop date wasn't until 11th, but he found the nausea really hard to cope with - thank god men don't get pregnant and have to cope with morning sickness).
I go on holiday in 10 days for two weeks to Spain and we're taking some packets of food with us rather than eat out everynight!
I've been paid £250 so far for the private work I did which has gone into my 'pay off my mortgage' account.
My neice (4) and nephew (6) are over from Ireland and I'm loving every minute of it (funny accents they've got now of Yorkshire twang, Essex drawl and Irish song!)
My husband is cooking dinner - sausage casserole with Jacket potato (it smells delicious - thanks IA for original idea on your old thread) - I'll be taking some to work tomorrow for my lunch so I get to enjoy it twice:D!
Got my old laptop (windows 95:eek:)working and SIL will be using it in France for her book (I might take it to spain for the computer games)
Wow, I've got loads to be thankful for. Thanks IA for making me think of this.

Pooky and Alex - really sorry to hear your news and am thinking of you both.
My things to be grateful for:
-I'm getting married soon to a man i love to pieces
-My cat's making me laugh because she's learned how to press the printer on and off with her paw and is fascinated by it!
-my boss said i've been working really hard, and that when i's quiet over the next few weeks i should leave early! Hurray!
-My tomato plants look like they've doubled in size overnight
-I'm finding a way through my debt, although it is taking some time
-I have some pretty amazing friends and work colleagues
Thank you for starting this thread IA - it's lovely0 -
Thanks to IA for starting this thread, I could do with some positivity as feeling despondent lately. Here goes...........
I, OH, DS and dog are all healthy and happy
We have a roof over our head and food in the cupboards
The car is just about continuing to keep going
OH and I have a night out on Saturday and DS is going to stay with his nanny for the night, so we can have some time for ourselves.
Makes me realise I should be thankful for the little things in life.0 -

Pooky, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin, such sad news. Life seems so unfair sometimes. I hope that you all manage to 'enjoy', if that's the right word, the time she has left here. Spend the next few weeks making happy memories. Thinking of you all. xxxMortgage Free as of 03/07/2017 :beer:0
