Sorry to hear about your cousin Pooky, how awful. It does make you realise that money and things don't matter, family and friends are what counts.

Sorry about your cousin Pooky - makes us all appreciate what we have, just being in good health.
Me, well I have a great DH who looks after me and keeps me smiling.
There's still three weeks to go before school starts again.
If I keep on here I just may be able to retire a term early (next summer instead of Christmas 2008).
I have a gorgeous GD - very unexpected, but a real blessing!

Thanks for this thread IA - it's really positive!

Pooky - sorry to hear your news. It puts things into perspective. I've been feeling a bit down in the mouth today and really couldn't think of anything nice, but I've thought a lot more simply and I've come up with

    I'm still debt free - 3 months, it's probably a record
It's just over a month to Blackpool
I have a lovely dog who is always happy to see me
The rain means I can't do any gardening. I hate gardening but have been forcing myself to do just a tiny bit each day for the last few weeks
Although my new self-employed salary isn't fantastic, it is paying the bills and putting food on the table
I now don't have to face my old nasty boss as I took redundancy and I'm very happy about that
I have a new toy - an icecream maker and it is proving to be good fun
I live in a beautiful part of the country
My homebrew cider is ready and it tastes ok!!! 40 pints of cider- woohoo!

Alex - also very sorry for your news as well. I love my dog so much and Ifeel for you.
