No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries July 2015

VALM - there's not much there at the moment! I got a Laura Mercier set that was reduced to £50 from £75 that had 4 brushes, a bag, make up primer, lip gloss, mini powder and mini eye basics in. I had been eyeing it up at full price so seeing it at £50 was too much to say no to! I love the Laura mercier brushes too and the ones in her kits are always exactly the same as the full price ones so they are definitely worth buying, unlike some that are clearly poorer quality in kits than full price.
Here goes with the INs
Sephora favourites sets:
time to prime (bought two)
Ultimate hair essentials
Beauty closet
Bare minerals blemish therapy (hg and was same price in dollars as pounds- also I was about to run out so this was planned and needed! Can you tell I'm trying to redeem myself somewhere? :rotfl:)
Bare minerals blemish therapy foundation (it's not out here yet, was same price in dollars as advertised in pounds too! Been impressed with it so far)
Bare minerals set with liquid foundation, brush and mini powder.
Another bare minerals set with another mini power and small brush
Dry bar set with salt spray, volumising spray, brush and clips
Nars beauty insider birthday gift x2 pencils (swopped with my mum as I wear red and she has pink so we both have two that we would use - wasn't either of our birthdays but we asked and they gave them us)
Tatcha rice enzyme powder (this was my main drunken "what on earth have I bought this for?!")
Becca mini shimmering skin perfector
Travel size bumble and bumble surf infusion
Travel size bumble and bumble hairdressers oil (bought it then found it as a 100 point perk!)
Jurlique kit with serum, toner and oil in.
100 point perks
Mini bumble and bumble hairdressers oil x2
Mini alterna cc cream x 2
Mac cool neutrals eye palette
Bobbi brown smokey eye set with eyeshadow stick, eyeliner, mascara and make up remover
Also got a Tkmaxx bargain with an old bare minerals tsv with full size foundation, full size eye brighter, full size mascara, full size lipgloss and brush for £29.99 when my foundation is £26 a pot and I use the rest of the stuff so at least there was logic behind that one!

WB Evilsquid and impressive INs :P
Sold an eye palette and a lip gloss so 2 outs and probably that is it for me for July!ally.0 -
Couple things uu:
Boots eastern lemongrass shower gel - Wnba didn't like the scent of this. Didn't lather very well either.
Avon violet shine mask - WBA this made my hair shiny and soft. It's pricey for how little you get in the tub though. I wish their hair mask tubs were bigger.
Listerine original mouthwash - Wnba this was bought for me by my mum but I find it gar too strong and prefer super drugs own. It makes my eyes water. I don't like the taste either. Probably does a good job as its so strong though! But then I think the superdrug one is just as good.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

Morning all
Hope everyone is well and pampering.
VALM we had a weekend in a lovely hotel in sheringham (Norfolk) we love it there. So much so we are going back with the kids in a couple of weeks for the summer hols.
Treated myself to a proper chiropodist appt a couple of weeks ago not a pamper and paint job one where they really give your feet a going over, scalpel off the hard skin and cutting your nails properly. I've never had that done before but it was £20 very well spent I came out feeling like I was walking on air, my feet have never felt so good.
Have just completed a surgery for a hand Cream I've been testing not sure what it was but it was good.SPC~12 ot 124

Morning ladies!
Lovely to see you back evilsquid, sounds like you've had a tumultuous couple of years but pleased to hear you've found happiness again. Your recent INs sound amazing!
I have a final UU for July:
19/113. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser 75ml - WBA, leaves my face feeling cleansed but is not overdrying. No need to replace for a while though.
See you all next month - hopefully with lots of UUs from my jollies!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
One UU to report - Ren V-Cense youth vitality day cream, full size. I really liked this, nice scent and texture.
At first I thought it wasn't moisturising enough, but I was using with Ren's Keep Young and Beautiful instant firming beauty shot, and I think that was the issue. The latter has hyaluronans in and I have had problems with those in other products - just seem to dry my skin out, which is the reverse of what they are meant to do. Once I started using the V-Cense with the Evercalm serum by Ren, my skin was much happier.
Anyway, I have a number of different things in my stash to UU before I need to decide which face cream to repurchase.
I've also headed off a NPI before I got in the shop. Am off to visit a friend in North London and know she has a Planet Organic nearby. I've almost finished my Evercalm serum and was going to visit Planet Organic to see if they have the new Antipodes serum in that I've read a lot about as I know I don't have any other full size serums in my stash. Anyway, in checking to see which face cream I was going to move onto next (I found a part used sample of the Evercalm cream) I realised I have four sample size serums, two of them generous 10ml ones. So, no need to buy a new one yet.0 -
Well done Indiepanda. I do love Ren. When (if) it is ever time for a restock, Ren will be right up there as I scour for deals.
two UU
a lovely unexpected one, Vita Liberata luxury self tan and mitt. I was fully expecting to be using this in august. But cut it open this morning and finished it off! Hurray. Only one more gradual tan and one instant tan left in the stash.
I also cut open LE c&p 30ml this morning, so that'll be gone when I cleanse tonight.
Tempting to use up a few smaller cleansers now to 'tidy up' but will be easier to take those away with me in Sept than a big jar of Emma Hardie, so I might have a shop of the cleanser stash to see what there is. I know there's a Ren one in there somewhere...0 -

When I was elsewhere in the US last year, I had aimed to pick up some things from BABW but I was quite overwhelmed by the sheer amount of different scents - do you have any you could recommended? I would love to go back to Orlando - last time I went was in 1997!
That sounds so exciting. We actually visited Orlando in 1997 too. I was pregnant with Emma at the time. I think we visited in late November/December as we were away for MrM's birthday.Plumpudding wrote: »
UUs.
very irresistible by Givenchy (sachet) - nope, I found this only too resistible.
We visited the Trafford Centre yesterday and I smelt the new Givenchy fragrance in there. It's called Dahlia Divine and to me smelt exactly like Very Irresistable. One to avoid for you if you didn't like this one.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. The smell is of pink bubblegum, which is novel the first couple of times, and then the novelty wears off.
So GA - Aussie Shower Smoothie 250 ml.
I don't know how I would have coped with 6 bottles! I'd have been repurposing it as toilet cleaner.
Evilsquid, your haul sounds amazing. At the Trafford Centre yesterday we bought Emma some birthday presents. I got the Bare Minerals Bareskin foundation, original foundation and mineral veil for her. MrM (deluded fool that he is) offered to buy her two items from Selfridges. She was ecstatic when we walked in and she saw the Charlotte Tilbury stand. MrM agreed to buy her an eyeshadow palette (that only contained four colours) and a lip gloss (he also treated me to a lipgloss because the colour was so lush - Red Vixen - looks like the one that I've been lemming from Sephora). Was not too chuffed when the eyeshadow palette was tilled up at £40.00.
I also bought myself a new top with some vouchers that I had from my birthday in February.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
