Had another tidy. Feeling overwhelmed with "things" again.

I really want to unload 14 nail polishes, 2 falsie set, 2 hand creams. If anybody wants them or wants to swap, message me please x

It was watching YouTubers that actually cured me of my addiction! It was noticing how many of them clearly had serious shopping and hoarding problems that frightened me, especially as the commenters seemed to be cheering them on. It was that that got me into the whole decluttering and minimalism thing. I now watch vids of girls who have whole rooms full of unopened make-up and just feel sorry for them.

same here....think of all the money that is just sitting there.

Peeking in here after a lonnnnng time away! I lost track of what I was using up, forgot to update my list, and got a bit sidetracked and eventually lost the thread (some may say lost the plot, who am I to argue).

But I wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone here. It was joining this thread away back last year that forced me to finally sort through the tons of cosmetics etc. I had and whilst I still have a huge stash, I've only bought essentials (shampoo, deodorant etc.) since then.

I stopped keeping nice smellies for special occasions and started using up all the nice bubble baths etc. and i'm at the point where I'm almost at the bottom of some of my piles.

So thank you all for the inspiration! I'm going to jump back in here in an effort to keep focussed on using up the rest of my stash. Still astounded at what I've amassed over the years!

And all the dust it's catching. /asthmatic consideration

1 In - an Elizabeth Snow nail polish. I could not resist it for £1. And I don't have any green nail varnish and it will go with some of my new addiction from Gems.

1 Out. Philosophy Hope in a Jar sample sachet. Did not last very well in the stash even though it's not that old. Still softening and pore-closing though. And used up to PP the Philospophy Microexfoliating face wash - which did survive the stash much better and does exfoliate without scratching.
  • Here is my mini pp list for the rest of the month:
1.estee lauder pure color envy lipstick in envious - GWP in a tiny carton thingy so very easy to use up (i hope)
2.estee lauder modern muse chic edp 1.5 ml GWP
3.estee lauder perfectly clean multi action foam cleanser/purifying mask 7 ml GWP
    4.lancome advanced genifique serum mini

Only 3&4 are on my to-use-up-inventory but my skin really needs a change at the mo :)

  • Just a little update...

    July PP
    Garnier vital restore night cream
Superdrug natural radience 12 hour day cream
    Beauty formula cleanser and toner
    [STRIKE]Garnier shea butter hand cream[/STRIKE]WMBA
[STRIKE]Jergens daily moisture hand and cuticle cream[/STRIKE] WNBA, not rich enough for my hands
Misc. bar soap (bought at a market many moons ago - have no idea what it is)
    Addidas deo roll on
L'oreal nutri bronze facial tan lotion
[STRIKE]Johnsons summer body gradual tan lotion[/STRIKE] WMBA, would like to test the others on the market first. I replaced this with the Garnier 'summer body' spray, but it appears DD19 took this on holiday with her!
Lypsyl 'honeyberry' lipbalm (yes I hoard lipbalms!)

    gym bag
    Garnier 'in shower' bodylotion
    [STRIKE]M&S witch hazel toning cream[/STRIKE]WNBA
[STRIKE]M&S alove vera & honey balm[/STRIKE]strange sticky texture - WNBA
    Lacura roll on deo
    Tesco coconut milk conditioner
Schwarztkopf hair theraphy leave in conditioner
Misc. unlabeled shampoo (in travel bottle)

    Some IN's...

    L'Occitane mini giftbox from DD23.
    Verbena showergel
    Verbena bodylotion
    Cherry blossom hand cream
    Shea foot cream
    Soap with verbena leaves

Such cute dinky little things. Will probably keep it to use on holiday next month.

I've suffered a few set backs at work and home, and was feeling a bit 'emotionally bruised'. Took a few hours wandering the shops. My theory was at least I was not comfort eating.

    Bought...

Collection 2000 brown/black waterproof mascara. In my defense it was needed and it was the cheapest I could find. If it's no good I will move up in expense brackets until I find something satisfactory.

I discovered some Naked products in the 99p store - love the Naked brand and they seem to be disappearing from the major retailers, so I grabbed them. The curl stuff I will use on my wavy hair or pass on to my mum who has much curlier hair.

Naked 'gorgeous curls' curl taming cream
Naked 'curl tamer' curl styling mousse
    Naked 'positivity' hand cream

I still bought a double caramel magnum, and a bar of Galaxy which I proceeded to eat over the next 12 hours, so don't think my 'not comfort eating' theory worked!:(
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Thought I'd revisit my July PP list as we are a week away from the end of the month:-

    [STRIKE]Clinique DDML[/STRIKE]
    Elemis serum
    [STRIKE]Elemis PCMC eye serum[/STRIKE]
    UG dry shampoo
[STRIKE]LE bergamot and lime shower gel
LE Bergamot and lime body lotion
    L'Occitane magnolia fragrance[/STRIKE]
    MB white mulberry hand lotion
    Sanctuary hand wash
    Champ eyes hand cream

Not been very productive have I?

Another UU though but not on the list:-

Philosophy Pure Grace whipped body cream. Love this fragance. WBA, maybe in US if it's good value over there.

Of all these products I think the fragrance will go next. It's one of those little bottles that was a mag freebie which you have to tip and pour over you.

Must remember to bring those Elemis serums out tonight I think.[/QUOTE]
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Hi everyone, this month is proving to be difficult on the UU side. I have a few half used bottles that seem to last ages, I may need to put these in next months PP List. I have 3 INS
    1) Lush - Dragons Egg Bath Ballistic
    2) Lush - The Comforter - Bubble Bath Bar
    3) Garnier - UltraLift (Free samples)
I have a bday coming up so a few things may get added to the stash pile.

    Hi All,

I have some INs to report. 14 sachets of garnier ultralift arrived this morning. I also bought a bottle of cetaphil cleanser as I am nearly out of my morning cleanser. It will hopefully going on my UU list by months end.
