Printed off the coupon, took it to my local Tesco, they couldn't scan it so they wouldn't accept it.

Just got this email from Tesco

Thank you for your email.

With regard to coupons from brand name manufacturers, we are happy to accept one, even if you have not purchased the product. The coupon must be in date and Tesco must sell the item. If you present more than one identical coupon, then you must purchase the same number of products.

This also applies to coupons printed from the Internet. These will only be accepted at the discretion of the Store Manager.

Any coupons, which display the Tesco logo, are Tesco specific. We only accept these if the products referred to on the coupons are purchased. This is because we negotiate savings with our suppliers on the condition that these actual products will be purchased.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the disappointment caused.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us at customer.service@tesco.co.uk

Regards

Tesco Customer Service

If you bought the product kick up a fuss, either customer service or right to them with your recept or email them

Well, following the promise that New Oscott would accept my coupons, I went armed with 4 of them. I bought 4 packs of the bogrolls, but then the coupons wouldn't scan. The checkout girl checked with customer services, and typed the barcode number in. Result: All 4 accepted, so I got 36 bogrolls for £2.92. Then I produced £2.50 in clubcard vouchers so I only had to part with 42p. :T

managed to get one voucher accepted, after the store manager was queried over it. Better than nothing. Also managed to get 2 cases of fosters for £10 each using tesco's price match policy from their previous offer that was out of stock (after many problems someone admitted they did pricematch)

Can you expand on this please, do you mean rain check on a previous instore but out of stock offer or pricematch on a competitiors price? If the former, you managed to do it without a rain-check voucher?

Tesco's used to give out rain check vouchers, I've not had to ask for one recently so I'm surprised to hear people saying they don't do them. This could be CS staff not knowing what they're doing,

1. What's this talk of using adobe pdf to view and print the vouchers? on my computer the link given is to an html webpage and the voucher is a jpeg. How do I view and print this voucher using Adobe?
At the top right of the page that link takes you to is a button saying Printable Voucher, clicking on that downloads a pdf file to your computer
Thanks to all who post constructively.

riiighhhhhhht ! now I see, maybe some of the people getting poor printing are just printing the webpage.

And the name and address fields? are people leaving them blank? or putting in falsies?

I use about 1 roll every montyh. not particuarly exciting information ;) but not a bad price for almost a two year supply of toilet paper.
My other three flatmates use about 18 rolls every month!

I thought this was a great idea, printed off the coupons only to find that Tesco Irlam Manchester would not accept them.

I used mine at Irlam branch 2 days ago - no problems - both scanned.

Go back n sort it with them. Ive had problems with that store before and had to ring customer services. I got a £5 voucher too as the manager had a right attitude.
