Do you really live here?
Yup live in Salford, have done for the majority of my adult life.
Sit here with the windows open trying to keep cool listening to some t0$$er ride his scrambler up and down the road at 50mph. No doubt the local pond life will be out later looking for some open windows to climb through to pinch a car or two. Lovely place. And don't even get me started on that joke that is now the biggest bus lane in the world, sorry I mean the A580..0 -

Could be worse, it could be Ordsall. The lovely area next to Salford Quays.0 -
I can recommend Macclesfield South Manchester. We've just sold our 2 bed semi for £126k and for £200 k you could get a nice 3 bed semi. It's 1hr40 direct to London on the train and 20 minutes to Manchester. Hills and forrests on your doorstep0

Nearer to Surrey way - it depends on what area of Surrey you wish to be near. I would suggest looking at somewhere like Crawley or Redhill which both have good links to London.
Here's one in Crawley http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-50504605.html albeit at £220kmatched betting: £879.63
