    How can their pricing strategy make it hard to compare prices?. Surely it makes it easier as all the b2c retailers use the same pricing system.

    Or am I missing the point?.

    not applicable to AO.com , but most setups show a price of the products at selling price , but on checkout show net (minus vat) , then add the postage costs , then add vat to that to show the final figure

    Actually most setups don't do it that way..few do.

    vat is payable on postage , MOST shops (online) show a net price , then add postage THEN add VAT
