Better to be a vulture than a waster.
If it wasn't for vultures it would be more junk for the land fill and a worse future for us all.
Pat yourself on the back and ignore the silly gossiping cows.0 -
Hi triker,
Don't feel upset about it.....you got the last laugh and the reduced items!
They reduce things to sell them, you were there at the right time and bought them. The shop assistant wasn't doing her job properly if she making snide comments directed towards you.
Anyway, as this is more of a shopping thread I'll move it across to the Shop but Don't Drop board for you.

Well done for getting the reduced stuff, i love being a vulture! I work at Mr Ts part time on the tills and always congratulate people on the bargains they pick up. You are right it will all go to waste if people didn't buy it. I would love to get some of them nowadays but work evenings when it appears to be the best time and by the time i have finished they have all gone and the shelves are being re-stacked.
Well done and keep it up, yes write it is definitely a training issue and not something that would be acceptable where i work!Leopardlady

I'd have raised merry heck in the store there and then. I don't expect staff to be rude regardless. If they want to make comments about customer's shopping habits they can do it in the canteen not on the shop floor. (I've worked in retail -so I know there's a time and a place to moan about customers !
) She definitely needs a spot of training and I hope you do complain.
Which supermarket was it as a matter of interest ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hi, thanks for the support, hey great idea, maybe we should have a 'vulture's' club :rotfl: .
The supermarket was Waitrose but I have no issue with them and they have fantastic reductions as my groaning fridge and freezer are testament too.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08
