Hello!
3 for me so far!0 -
Good evening fellow camping enthusiasts! :hello:
Finally I've found time to post.I've had a busy day,and tomorrow will be the same.
Plus there's a nail biting tennis match with The Great Novak....
Today is definitely spendy for me.
Back to the match now for a bit (it's on live pause),then I'll update.0 -
Oh Igor,you shouldn't have...
You're sure that it's plain 'common or garden' vanilla, pure, unadulterated strawberries and a lovely sweet fruity sauce?
No pilchards, ferrets or essence of wildebeest in sight?
No mini quiches or vindaloo sprouts coulee hiding in the scoops of ice cream?
No chocolate sprinkles?
Ok then,yes please!0 -

NSD no. 6
6 in a row
Hi and good afternoon fellow NSDers!!
Can't believe I still managed to hold on to yet another NSD. 6 days in a row, my longest stint of no spend ever. Spent almost all day in bed, nursing a bad back pain. Was supposed to be at work from 12-8 but couldn't manage walking and getting in and out of chair without wincing in pain so was told to have a bed rest. I think the whole day of gardening yesterday did me in, not having done that in a very long time. Plus I had to do everything as both sons and hubby were plagued by hay fever and couldn't give me a hand. This just goes to show how unfit I am and it will be my next mountain to climb - get some exercise and shift some pounds (lbs).
DS1 did a stock take in the cupboard and we are running low on stuff but can still manage to do one or two meals with what we've got. In the past running this low would have sent me panicking and doing a big shop. I'm pleased to say those days are gone. Frugality is the name of the game. Supper will be chicken pasta bake (without cheese as we have none).
DS1 will be going to Italy for a school trip in 2 weeks time. Yesterday he asked me how much pocket money will he get. I said we can only afford £200 but if he budgeted his money well, that should be enough. We agreed that he would allocate a portion of that money as his emergency/contingency fund then separate his mandatory spends as scheduled by his school (eg entrance fees etc) and then split the rest equally to daily spends. If he doesn't need to spend anything on a particular day, that amount could be rolled over to the next day. He's reckoned he will be fine with €15 a day and still have €50 euros as emergency money. I haven't been to Italy but do you think €15 a day would be sufficient? I am so pleased he is taking on this route of budgeting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
