Hi all,
Nothing much to report here as been in bed all day. Trying to sleep in this heat was a bit of a challenge. Opened the windows to let a bit of air, but today was the day most of my neighbours decided to do the lawn mowing or hedge cutting because of the nice weather, so I was privy to a concoction of humming sounds everywhere. But the good thing is, another NSD WAS BAGGED. NSD number 3. My first 3 in a row as well. :j :j :j
Last of my night shift tonight and I do hope that this lovely summer that I have missed this week will stay during the weekend. Lots of things to do in the garden - the pak choi that I sowed in modules are desperate to go to their final place, so in a few weeks time they could give us free meals. I have couple of pots of dwarf beans in my front porch (my pretend greenhouse) and I was so pleased to see three beans and they are purple, so exciting. The ones left outside are also trying to catch up with the indoor ones. The tomatoes have lots of flowers but no fruits yet (my first time to grow them so I am hoping I did everything right and I am so looking forward to have homegrown tomatoes). I have 4 pots of spinach that are on their way to being productive. Still waiting for the lettuces though. So here's to a nice sunny weekend everyone!"There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -

Late joiner (and first timer) here, 10 NSDs for July for me starting tomorrow. It will be a miracle to achieve this, considering I'm away on holiday from 22 Jul - 1 Aug.
Thanks!---

Hi lite ruse and welcome to the challenge!
I've worked out that between tomorrow and the 21st you have 18 days.
Have a think about your rules.A lot of us have allowed spends:bills, prescriptions, petrol etc.
A fair few also don't count budgeted spends ie groceries.
Some don't count spends when away on holiday if they have a holiday budget....
If you really think that 10 nsds is pushing it a bit,why not start with a lower figure? That's quite alright too.
We're very laid back here in general.Well, apart from Igor and Swedish Chef, but that's a whole different kettle of fish....
More importantly, what you like to drink? We have tea (coffee having been banned by Mrs Doyle),soft drinks, non alcoholic or ordinary beers....
Would you mind bringing your own cup or glass.Unless you prefer an empty jam jar?
PS nice to have a new face around.0 -
Thanks! This weekend will be challenging as it's school summer fair tomorrow (I did buy some tokens and raffle tickets online, so I won't be counting those if I can get away with spending just the tokens - they can be exchanged for food and other stuff happening at the fair). On Sunday I'm taking my child to a b-day party, already bought the present and card so Sunday is more manageable.
I'm not counting regular bills but I'm counting everything else, including groceries and holiday spend, as I've not budgeted/saved for these, not yet!
No petrol costs for me, I'm a London commuter. And I don't pay for prescriptions (medical exemption)...
ps. I'm a coffee addictbut I'll be good with a cup of tea, thank you very much!
