Our broker updated us that the valuation and survey was completed yesterday as scheduled but nothing has been uploaded to Natwest's system yet (this normally takes 24-48hrs after valuation). Once the valuation is uploaded, Natwest are working to a 4 day turnaround for assessing the results of the valuation before making the offer, so hopefully will hear something next Tuesday or Wednesday.

UPDATE - Our broker has informed us that our mortgage application case has now progressed to Natwest's "offer queue", which means that it has been approved and is now simply in a queue for the administrators to produce the offer and post it out. The queue is approximately 4-5 working days long, therefore we should expect to receive the offer in the post around Thursday / Friday next week.

Time now to request the searches through our solicitor.

    Full timeline:

16-JUN - AIP obtained from Natwest
    17-JUN - 1st viewing
    20-JUN - 2nd viewing
22-JUN - Offer made and accepted below asking price following a couple of rounds of negotiation
24-JUN - Full mortgage application submitted to Natwest
    08-JUL - Valuation & survey booked in for 15-JUL
    15-JUL - Valuation & survey
22-JUL - Application moves to Offer queue for it to be posted out

Our's has now moved to valuation. Does this mean that the mortgage will be approved if they find value? It is a new build we are buying with Help to Buy.

Mine has now been approved and fees for survey/valuation taken. It took 4 weeks in total to get to this stage but this was due to a delay waiting for some documents from HMRC.

We are also awaiting a decision from Natwest and have chosen L + C as our brokers who seem to be really good.

We are buying a property that we have lived in for 4 years from the landlord who has already agreed a price.
    14/7 AIP
15/7 broker requested declaration and DD mandate, payslips and bank statements which they received on the 16/7
15/7 received email from conveyance solicitors requesting certified ID's, and proof of address as well as acceptance of terms etc which was returned and received on the 20/7.
22/7 emailed broker who confirmed everything received and application was being assessed by Natwest.
So now we are just waiting for them to hopefully instruct the surveyor for valuation, this is officially the most stressful situation i have ever been in, but we are hoping looking at other timelines to hear from them by next Tuesday.

    edit ::

Valuation all went well and we have our mortgage offer....thats were the good turned bad...Cogent Law who we were recommended by L + C are absolute rubbish..i sent them the vendors solicitors details on the 27th of July and after they lost the draft contracts that were sent on the 13th of August that werent chased up on until i called on the 28th we are still not complete...avoid Cogent law or parabis at all cost
  • I too am waiting for a decision, we attend a meeting with our Broker on Wednesday and signed a load of documentation and the application was submitted.

Impressed with natwest. They completed the survey the day after approving the application! Just waiting for survey results and (hopefully) offer now.
