Waiting for a mortgage decision from Natwest. Anyone else?

You submitted your application 2 days ago, how is that slow?
Natwest are taking about 4-5 working days to assess the application - I have had 2 with natwest go to offer this month. If you think that is slow then you need to alter your expectations. I submitted an application to a different lender in May and we still have no offer and there are not even any problems, they are just ridiculously slow.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I think you've misunderstood me, I wasn't talking about my own application, ACG! I'm not expecting a decision in 2 days :rotfl: I think most people expect it to take a few weeks to go through. I was talking about the fact there have been a lot of posts on here about the process taking many, many weeks (and my buyer has a mortgage with them which was underwritten and approved 3 weeks ago but a valuation survey has still not been instructed which is pretty slow).0 -
NatWest have quite a backlog at the moment. I'm currently entering my forth week of waiting!
My mortgage has been approved pending the valuation which was done today. Hoping to hear something early next week!SwagBucks since 25/5/15 - £70 Amazon0 -
Sorry I did misunderstand.
Seems strange that you guys are waiting weeks, I submitted a case on the 11th, it went to valuation stage on the 19th which was carried out today so I expect an offer next week, thats 3 weeks from app to offer.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I have just spoken with Natwest. Despite them assuring me last Friday when I called them that the offer was in the post to me (and they also left me a voicemail on Saturday to confirm) they have just told me it hasn't yet been passed to the correct team for processing!!! So annoyed, i have been chasing them for 3 weeks since the valuation was done and every time been told "the offer is on it's way".
They have said it is now 48 hours until they can definitely get it sent- although they have said it will be faxed to the solicitor on Tuesday so she doesn't have to wait for the postal copy.
I really have no idea how i can be told categorically that it is all good to go and then one week on nothing has happened whatsoever. I said I might as well go there and move the application from one department to another myself because nothing is getting done unless I repeatedly call them and this is now holding up our house move.
Anyone waiting a decision/action I urge you to call the Mortgage center at least twice a week to check they are actually doing something. They didn't even look at my valuation until i called them 10 days later to see where the offer was!0 -

Did you actually receive the offer?
Mine has been 'in the post' from them since about the 26th and I've had nothing yet...
My BTL has been ongoing since I applied on 11th May.
We should all not worry though, I hear that NatWest are just waiting for the blue moon on 31st July to get things sorted.0
