Received the hard copy in the post on 30th, along with an email from my broker and a text message from Optima all advising they had received the offer the same day. Just waiting to complete now.
  • According to my broker they will be assessing our application today.

It's strange, because our Optima stuff happened right near the beginning of the process. In fact, in the Progress Updates section on the Optima site, the latest is an entry that says 'Evidence of full name received - 29 days ago.'

Did you actually receive the offer?

Mine has been 'in the post' from them since about the 26th and I've had nothing yet...

My BTL has been ongoing since I applied on 11th May.

We should all not worry though, I hear that NatWest are just waiting for the blue moon on 31st July to get things sorted.

we finally received our offer on Tuesday after being "in the post" for about 3 weeks. They faxed a copy to the solicitor so we can exchange contracts this week as we had been waiting so long everything else was done!
  • Natwest have been looking at our application today and queried a couple of direct debits on our bank statements. I stupidly forgot to mention our sofa payments of £29 per month. I hope this doesn't change our affordability. Feel really annoyed with myself.

It might not affect it, sauvignon. It's an anxious wait though. They've asked me for further information on income, which is going to hold things up a bit.

Some good new for us. I contacted Natwest yesterday and valuation came back correct price and no retention. Thanks goodness. We are going to instruct our solicitor to start the searches today :)

Thank you. I still cant believe it. I said to my husband, can you ring them back and just make sure i heard correct lol. Husband said dont be silly :) so exited.
We are just waiting for our home buyers report to come through now, but i am not really concerned about that as the valuation came through ok and i think any problems will not be major. Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear. I will be following the thread :)
