Beef goulash/strognoff uses sour cream too0

The Russians put it in soups, just before they are served.0

We have it atop a big pot of chilli, served with tortilla chips and/or wraps. Yum.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
:hello:
I bought a 150ml tub of soured cream from Morrisons yesterday, because it was 9p. :money:
Now what am I supposed to do with it? :rotfl:
Bright ideas on a postcard please....
Thanks,
MBEIf you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Have it with mexican (tex-mex) foods like fajitas / enchiladas / nachos
Use as a dip with tortilla chips
Sour cream is used in quite a few chocolate cake recipes
Have it with chives on a jacket potato / wedges
Mmm love soured cream!0 -
make a simple dip by adding in some finely chopped chives and a little salt and pepper (you can substitute spring onions for the chives or very finely chopped onion).
add a dollop to soup.
mix with cream cheese and spread over a base of crushed digestive biscuits mixed with melted butter, and chill for about an hour then cover with a good fruit preserve for a delicious no cook cheesecake.
the cream cheese and sour cream make a good base for many dips with the addition of a little crushed garlic and salt and pepper.0 -
Add to melted chocolate for a not-so-sickly ganache filling for chocolate cake
(we know you like chocolate cake...)0 -
