Indicating

If you get a BMW, you won't have to worry about indicators because they don't have any. Furthermore, you will be able to communicate with other drivers via the use of telepathy.
it's more complicated that this in BMW's, my wifes X5 indicators do not work for her, but ok for me! I think the indicator stalk istoo stiff for her......:pPlan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].

But then again it should be fairly easy not to pickup your phone and press the green button if you're driving a car.0

And on motorways when it's III, II, I then 20' before the junction - blink & they are off.

Probably accidental as its nobody's business where and when you want to exit a motorway in a BMW.
Actually, on this point, a couple of years ago I entered into an altercation with a motorist during rush hour on a Friday night on the M25. In those days of lesser enlightenment I drove a Honda CR-V, though to be fair, it was black so even then, there was an air of menace about me.
I won't go into huge detail but it concerned my goodself,(obviously a conscientious and considerate driver), trying to get into the exit lane to come off the M25 at Staines and a git determined he wasn't going to let me get in front of him and then getting very irate when I entered the exit lane 3 cars ahead.
Another real world example, probably experienced by lots of other drivers who use motorways regularly, only to find it really is every man for himself because out there, the Highway Code barely exists. Might explain the high percentage of accidents during holiday period when the "uninitiated" use motorways in the belief their fellow motorists observe basic courtesies. Most do, but it only takes a few....0 -

I don't see this as anything new, people have been complaining about lack of indicators for as long as I can remember. The only obvious difference is there seems to be a lack of jokes about Volvo drivers not using indicators, only BMW now.

Except that pedestrians are road users, so are included in the decision whether or not to indicate

That's true actually, but I didn't post anything to avoid offending a minority group and besides, as a BMW driver myself, it would be a case of "pot and kettle".
Having said that, indicators on Volvos are redundant - it doesn't matter what they hit and what hits them, their occupants are cossetted in Scandinavian centre-console floating safety, so fill your boots......;)0
