You obviously earned enough to support your family without them Jack.
Not when i was younger I didnt, we learned to tighten our belts, lived to our means so to speak and as i said my wife worked evenings to pay for extras. Often with me being sent oversees as i work for HM finest armed forces, making it more of a struggle for my family.
And as for assuming 'im alright Jack', you clearly have no idea what you are talking about as you do not know me, resulting to personal insults whilst sat behind your screen-nice one, i applaud you:T. You must feel real tough....The Chuck Norris of the laptop world:rotfl:Plan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].

Is that why you've only just cleared your debts? Within your means indeed.
I'm basing the "Jack" comment based on your comments thus far.0 -
Who looked after your children when you left them all day?
They could remove CTC and increase income support and JSA on a per child basis, this is what existed prior to the unemployed being entitled (bizzarly) to tax credits.
The very expensive nursery when both worked! Made even worse as I had to pay for 5 days and only used a maximum of 3. As my days changed each week I needed to book 5 but only ever used 3. Sometimes I only used 1 if I had weekend shifts.
The Tories need to make work pay, they'd not ever make out of work more generous than in work. They can backtrack on most things but not this. I don't think your Mr and Mrs smith have anything to worry about (except maybe a freeze).
The Tories have always implied that under working families would be looked at. The clue was in the hard working they repeatedly used in their election build up. Sorry but it's the 24 hour 2 teenagers I think will be hit.

It's very difficult to comment on proposals that are yet to be announced, ...
It could be all talk, this has been talked about many times, but in the end always postponed.
It could well be postponed again this time.
Look at the anti austerity riots in London and other cities of late, if these cuts go through the riots and civil unrest will be on par with the 2011 streets of rage, again. Burning police cars upside down, smashed shops, looting. The thing about chaos is, it's fair.0 -

i have had debts yes, who hasn't?? But i paid them off myself from hard work and am proud of that fact. And yes within my means, do you know what the debt was for? NO, do you know when i took out loans? NO, Do you know if i had loans when i was a junior engineer on low income(when i lived to my means) NO? So you dont know me do you!
My comments are my opinion based on how i feel, not aimed at anyone personally, and expressed on a public forum/discussion board.
I choose to excercise my right to freedom of speach, instead of throwing cheap insults/digs at people when i read things i disagree with.Plan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].

I hope you're right because people should work or support themselves once their kids are at school.
I've never seen the logic of potentially spending more on childcare than a person earns though either.
I know Mr and Mrs Smith well, I used to work with his wife before she had kids. He does work hard and they're a lovely family. I'd hate to see them be worse off.0 -

I know nothing about your personal circumstances other than what you've posted on here. Other than suggesting you don't care about those less fortunate than yourself (based on your comments on this thread about Mr and Mrs Smith) I've made no insults/digs against you.
Sorry if it seems like I'm hiding behind my laptop.0 -

Which all achieved diddly squat, just like the city riots of 1981. Riots, especially when supported by idiots like Russell Brand, will achieve nothing. And the Poll Tax riots of 1989/90 didn't result in the abolishing of Poll Tax either. What got rid of it was the defeat of the Tory Candidate in the Ribble Valley By-election."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

I'm lucky that currently though underpaid IMO my pay covered childcare but not by much. I'd never voted Tory before this election but things like the tax allowance claim for married couples, the new childcare initiatives I do think they support Mr and Mrs smith. If you look at UC they set the limit at 51 hours for workers with primary school age children, 35 hours for pre school and 70 hours for high school. I think it really does indicate where they plan to hit.
Though I can't see all the savings made this way so there needs to be others like the Christmas bonus and I think university grants.Tomorrow is the most important thing in life0 -

I hope you're right. I agree entirely that work should pay and people shouldn't be allowed to sit at home one the kids are at school.
I've got an awful feeling they'll hit the likes of Mr and Mrs Smith though.0
