Afternoon all!
The. Shed. Is. Here!!
It is huge so there will be enough room for me to have a small desk too!! It feels like such a massive relief! I didn't realise how much it was stressing me out!
Husband and I had a crafty beer in it last night after dinner and he listed what he would like to do to it. The list seems endless! It needs electrics and flooring and curtains not to mention a radiator and desks!! Never the less I have told him that 'we need to prioritise' after his 'lets just get it done' mentality. He also told me his trainers now have holes in them on the way to work this morning so we shall sit down and do some budgeting tonight and research.
No other news on the money front. Off to the beach tomorrow so just petrol and a picnic and maybe an ice cream! Happy Friday everyone!

Yay, Crunchy! Everything is coming together and it will definitely be such a weight off your shoulders to have the shed done and paid for. I never realise how much these little things bother me until I just get them over with!0

Hi Crunchy
Woohoo to the shed arriving....you should post a picture when it is all done!
I hope you enjoy a day at the beach tomorrow. Weather is miserable here in devon....however a rainy day might give us the opportunity to declutter a little and pack for camping!
I hope you are well

Morning all!
We had a lovely day at the beach! It was glorious weather. Spent a little more than planned as I forgot baby didn't have a swimsuit so I nipped to supermarket to get one on the way. It was in the sale - £2!! We also had icecres a but parking was cheap at £2.50.
We were so tired on the way back we ended up buying some ready meals for dinner. Still cheaper than a take away or pub dinner!
I still haven't paid the cheque in so that is in the list for this week. Husband gets paid his final pay tomorrow. We are hoping it will be bigger than normal as he is owed a few days holiday he can't take and is working longer than a calendar month. He is checking his payslip online this morning so will know soon.
Otherwise it will be a nsd today. Just library and paying the check in along with housework.
Can't believe its one week left of the hols!! I'm ready for autumn now! I want to get cozy again
Happy Monday y'all!

That sounds like such a lovely day out! Ready meals are a good compromise too. Horribly I went through a long phase where they were just what I ate for dinner -- no wonder I have no pennies left! As a lazy treat, they're perfect.0

Good morning DFW's!!
Husbands pay day today!! All banking and budgeting done!! £100 paid off the debt so that is £400 for August!! I decided to shave £100 off my overdraft instead of the credit card for today - just feeling a little crazy!!
My target is £460 a month to get this £5500 cleared in a year. Although we probably wont make it this month we will next month.
We have worked out what we are going to do with our £400 spending money this month and the list is sitting in the new budgeting folder.
Tasks today are to take this money out as well as the food money for the month and envelope it. As well as pay in the cheque as I STILL haven't done this.
I'm feeling very positive today!! Onwards and upwards (or downwards ha ha!)
Much love

Yay, I love the idea of the 100 squares. It must be so satisfying to colour each one in!0

It is satisfying no doubt about that belle!!
Morning debt free wannabes!!
Windy day here!! Only got plans to go to the library today and get the cat some flea stuff and a wormer.
Had a chat with the mother yesterday. I feel she is getting too weary for child care now so I'm thinking about bringing forward the date we put dd into nursery to January. It will cost around £320 a month which at the moment is the money spare in my pay to pay down debt. This gives us 4 pay days to pay as much as possible off my debt as we can. If we can pay off my credit card that would be awesome!! We are going to try our hardest. I'm sick of this debt getting in the way of things now.
First mission tonight is a frugal but clean meal plan for the next week. It's so hard trying to achieve clean eating when on a budget and bread and potatoes etc are nice cheap staples. Ah well it's a great challenge. Perhaps I'll have a wander over to the old style money saving board for some tips.
Happy hump day everybody!

Could you ask your credit card providers to reduce your interest? Worth a phone call!!0
