Morning diary
themull1 - thanks will consider this.
Sorry I haven't updated in a few days. I've been busy with back to school stuff. I few things money related to report on..
- minimum payment of £275 of the loan so the balance is now £15,368!!
- a tradesman we know had done some bits for us on the house and, after initially saying we could pay in beer and cake, has now decided we owe him £250. We had allocated £100 towards shed stuff this month and £100 each on much needed clothes. I ordered clothes online on my credit card and so did the hubs so now we will need to use the money to pay for that to pay the tradesman instead and pay for the clothes next month - grrrrr. (I just wish I had known a few weeks ago so I could have budgeted for it.)
- Husband finally did his expenses so we do owe about £1000 on it.
- Budgeting for this month is going well so far. Its about 2 weeks until my pay day now and we are on track and we are starting to look at next month and what we would like to achieve.
- Magpie of music said they have processed our payment so I'm waiting for it to hit our account and then can swish it away to the credit card.
We have also decided from next month we are going to tackle my overdraft first as I will keep my credit card for emergencies and not my overdraft - we just want rid of it.
Plodding along nicely in the right direction!!

Afternoon DFW's!
Magpie of music money went into my account today. £34.49 + £6.99 = £41.48 rounded up to £50 off the credit card. I decided to pay if off the credit card as it was a small amount.
There have been a few things that the hubs has had to put on his credit card this month due to his new job but this will either be claimed through expenses or we will pay off next pay day.
Just ticking over nicely at the moment waiting for payday next Friday for me. I have some things that have sold on e.b.a.y. to post so will be a little bit more to swish away at the credit card.
We also have some socialising planned for this weekend but will keep it dead cheap. There is about £130 in the petrol pot and I wont be using all of that so can swish off that if necessary.
I think the hubs gets paid on the 28th of the month rather than the 25th in this new job so a little bit more time to wait.
All plodding along nicely!

I have just had a little idea! I'm going to do a 'payment a day between now and husbands pay day on the 28th to try and get the credit card down from £1836 to £1830. That will be £2 a day. I will use the money from the petrol fund and that will keep me on the straight and narrow for the next 2 weeks and enable me to still pay for things coming up.
Have a good evening!

Evening all!!
Made a few pounds in eBay recently and packed them up for posting this morning. I ended up having a little fall out with one of the buyers and gave them a refund. I remember looking at my daughters top and thinking how much I would rather it went to the poor Syrian refugees instead of some rude girl in exchange for 99p.
So I have sorted through all the rest of the old children's clothes I had earmarked for selling and am taking 2 big bags to a collection at my church tomorrow.
Not very mse but I feel pleased that children in need will get some comfort from them.

Not quite the same but I gave a lot of DD's clothes to charity shop other day, selling them on eBay wasn't worth it and like you I would rather someone else could use them. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0

Hi Crunchy!
I've been following your diary for a few months so thought I'd pop in and say hi.
Some of the buyers on eBay put me off selling things for life, I think I'd rather do a car boot sale!
Nicely done on the decluttering anyway, I'm terrible at getting rid of clothes (keep telling myself that one day I'll be a size 10 again!)

Morning debt free wannabes!
I've had a horrible last few days at work which I wont go into but have definitely put a lot of things into perspective. I'm going to try not to sweat the small stuff so much anymore.
I get paid on Friday - the first pay day since I went down to 2 days a week. I have £800 on my spreadsheet so anything more will be a bonus.
I have managed to pay off £20 extra with my £2 a day. I also managed to pay off another £50 using husbands mileage so my credit card balance now stands at £1766 - signature updated.
I've been working on next months budget. We will have an extra bill of around £300 to pay so might not manage a big amount but both husband and I have said its so good finally sticking to a budget.
Plodding onwards and upwards.

Morning!
Pay day today! £889!! Much better than the £800 I estimated. Husband also got paid some expenses so I have chucked them at my credit card since I seem to be on a roll at the moment with them.
It now stands at £1716!!
Will update the signature later as I need to get everyone ready to go out now!!

nice frugal weekend planned. Meal planning tonight.
Now just awaiting husband to be paid from his old job on Friday. It's should be a weeks salary and then a week of holiday pay. In my head I have £400 as that is what the hubs said his holiday pay would be. Anything else then would be a bonus!
Then husband will paid from his new job on the Monday. 3 weeks of new salary but emergency taxed as he wont have had his p45 yet. He is a higher rate tax payer so just hoping it won't be anymore than that. I have no idea about these things but I know we will need £2200 to cover the bills.
I think I have enough petrol to last me next weeks work trips but we shall see.
It's a nice feeling this plodding along but can't wait till end of October when we know how much hubbs will get paid a month and can make some serious dents!
