  • Hi and thankyou all for your kind wishes, I'm feeling back on form and hoping that having this week off for half term means I will getto Christmas holidays without coming down with any bugs, lots of healthy eating needed I think.

So now that I'm back on form it means I need to get back to some order, house looks as though a bomb has gone off, so some major tidying and de-cluttering needed this week, need to sort out budget for rest of month and next month. Christmas list (presents and food) and a general what needs doing list (DD passport, pay some money off school trip etc).

Money is sooo tight and I'm desperate for payday, have a few bills to go out of bank and I'm taking children ice skating on Thursday as there half term treat.
Surveys are going ok and I've redeemed from a couple so I'm waiting on roughly £40.

Going to a friends 40th tonight, got her a fantastic present that I know she will love for £20 as it was half price. Also she is having a party at her home so only need to take some drink, so have bought a couple of bottles of wine.

Have received a couple of good freebies the last few days, received a Wilkinson razor through the post which I've given to DH, also a voucher for £5 off a lidl, don't usually shop there but it was in a paper at work and nobody wanted and I know there is a lidl near ice rink we are going to so will stock up on cupboard items, also received a carrier bag full of apples from neighbours tree yesterday, so will stew these up for crumbles, I'm also picking up any carrier bags that kids leave lying around school as I use them as bin bags and of course they are no longer free.

    Hope everyone is ok.x.

  • Afternoon all, feeling very down today and its mainly due to the state of the house, with being so under the weather we have resulted in utter chaos, there is clutter and mess everywhere and I'm just feeling so overwhelmed by it all and I really did not know where to start this morning, in fact I sat and cried.

So I've been out for a walk and I'm ready to start tackling it all, even if I don't get it all done today. if I can see that I've made some headway into it I know I will feel better, so far I have cleaned all the clutter out of the porch and put everything in its rightful place, dirty sports kit is in the wash, kidsschool bags are in tere rooms, dogs bed has been washed, windows washed down and floor swept and mopped, so that's that oom done, now on to the rest of house.

Going to keep a list so I can see what I've achieved.

Good morning, can you believe it am on school hols and I forgot to switch my alarm off last night, so 6am the blasted thing went off , never mind its a beautiful autumn morning.

House is much tidier although upstairs still needs sorting, at least the downstairs looks presentable if anyone came to the door and I feel very bright and chipper.

Have sat and looked at banking, I have enough in account to cover DD going out over the next couple of days, I have the cash to pay for ice skating £25, fuel £15, opticians £50 and £10 left for some groceries as we seem to be low on yogurts, crisps and bread. I'm at the opticians this afternoon will park out of town and walk in with kids, saves me paying for parking.

I have also done next months budget -

Wages - £1318 (estimate as payslip not online yet)
    Child B -£137.60.

Total income £1437.60 (also waiting on £43 from surveys but not added that).

    Outgoing :

    Tesco cc - £110.00
    Barc CC - £110.00
    Hali CC - £70.00
    PO CC - £30.00
    Next - £25.00
    MBNA- £25.00.

    Debt payments £370.

    Now tv/mobiles £16.00
    wellwoman insurance £8.00
    Bus Passes £55.00
clothes £100.00 (DS needs new trainers and school coat).
misc £75.00 ( we have a christening + rugby presentation).
    Pets £45.00
    Fuel £100.00
    Contact lenses £13.00
    Groceries £320.00
    Christmas £300.00

    Total £1027.00

    Total Outgoings £1397.00 .

I do think I need to be realistic and realise that over payments are not going to happen again until after Christmas, I need to get through the next 2 months without using a CC and kuckle back down in January, it would be stupid of me to send extra payments to N£XT and then use CC to buy Christmas presents, so the next 2 months are about staying in budget and keeping afloat.

  • Back from opticians, new glasses needed but I get them free with specsav£rs contact lens plan, so that's a bonus.

Found a 5 note lurking behind my nectar card in my purse, not sure how that got there, all I can think is I must have got it in change last time I was in sainsbugs and shoved it in my purse with the card.

    Todays spend £11.35 (sainsbugs groceries).

Whilst in the opticians, DD and DS did a bit of shopping, when we met up DS presented me with my favourite shower gel from The b0dyshop, I havn't bought it for ages with trying to cut back and he had obviously noticed, he is such a sweetie.
