Hi itcouldbeworse i just read your last post, and that could have been me writing it, i had to reply! I read and subscribed a few weeks back.

Today dd needs £30 for netball, which i hadnt accounted for! Erm.... Goodbye food shopping (again!)

I'm trying to pay off an over draft at the moment, but then it'll be the n3xt account and teaco cc!! I really want to cancel the next account when its empty but i love the online sale and get so many bargains for dd and ds that i couldnt afford otherwise. (Actually i cant afford them now, hence the bill!!) :rotfl:

Also i sold 3 items on 3bay yesterday, i did try fb first as it saves the packaging, but didnt have any takers which was a shame.

Sorry to make this post about me, but i honestly couldnt believe the similarities!!

Btw do you budget monthly? My dh gets paid weekly and im monthly so i tend to budget weekly, mon to mon.
Still here..... but working on that!

Hi Littleskintdragon, firstly thanks for reading my ramblings and for subscribing, its nice to have some company on what feels like a long journey.
Kids are certainly expensive and it does feel as though I'm forever handing money out. I try and £bay and do surveys as much as possible, as well as being frugal with the grocery spends etc. Well done on your £bay sales.

Both myself and DH are paid monthly, I sit and do a budget for the month a couple of days before payday and then work out what I need for the week for groceries/fuel and misc and then try and only withdraw this amount, if I'm using cash I tend to spend less.

Good luck on your debt free journey, I'm off to find your diary.

Evening diary, quick update as I've still got chores to do before bed.

Good day at work today and its been a NSD, took lunch and kids had pack ups, DH was working close to home and came home and had lunch.

DH out tonight so we have had an easy tea of jkt spuds beans and cheese, cheap and filling, with HM cake for pud.

Made a few pounds today, £6.00 0n a BIN on £bay and also received a £2 amazon voucher from GFK. Also hit £40 on 0nep0ll, so that's been redeemed wont get that till next month.
    So budget is as follows-
    Bills - £146 in pot, need £140.
    Fuel - £50 - should be enough.
Groceries - £29.50 in pot + £7.50 nectar points, this is not enough to see me to payday. Also have about £2 in change pot in 1 and 2ps, will use at self checkout for odd bits needed.

Tomorrow I will need to get some washing up liquid, but hopefully shouldn't need anything else.

    Take care.x.

And I literally posted the last post and sold another BIN on £bay, so another £5 added to grocery pot.

    Revised budget-
    Bills - £146 in pot, need £140.
    Fuel - £50 - should be enough.
Groceries - £34.50 in pot + £7.50 nectar points, this is not enough to see me to payday. Also have about £2 in change pot in 1 and 2ps, will use at self checkout for odd bits needed.

    Afternoon diary,

Apologies for the lack of posts this week, but on Tuesday we had a family emergency as a relative was rushed into hospital, luckily they are going to be ok and were able to go home yesterday.

So things have been chaotic but I have tried my best to keep on top of money, made a few pounds this week -
    £bay £15.
    my survey £3
    ip0ll - £15 new look gift card.

Been grocery shopping today to ald1 and sainsbugs, spent £52 in ald1 and £3.32 cash + £7.50 nectar points in sainbugs. so have everything meal planned until next Sat, then I have 4 days until payday, so I'm hoping to scrape £20/£30 together to see us through to payday

    Revised budget-
    Bills - £121 in pot, need £119.
    Fuel - £35 - should be enough.
Groceries - £9.15 in pot + 0 nectar points, this is not enough to see me to payday. Also have about £2 in change pot in 1 and 2ps, will use at self checkout for odd bits needed,

I have some ebay items ending today and tomorrow, some have low bids on so fingers crossed, I will manage to get to payday without using CC, also think I may have a little extra in pay packet this month, My aim for Oct is to pay off N£XT.

    Bills - £121 in pot, need £119.
    Fuel - £35 - should be enough.
Groceries - £26.80 in pot + 0 nectar points, Also have about £2 in change pot in 1 and 2ps, will use at self checkout for odd bits needed

    Good afternoon diary.

Although its not that good, in fact I could cry, my car has had to go into the garage as it has been making funny noises and seemed sluggish, cut a long story short needs about £500 of work. So that's boogered up the plans of paying off N£XT in October, also means we need to pull in money from some where to pay the bill and I refuse to use a CC.

    So income/outgoing for OCT -

    Income.

    Wages - £1218.
    Child ben - £137.
    0nepoll - £40

    Total - £1395

    Outgoing -
    Debt repayment (minimum) - £356.
    Health insurance £8.00
    Fuel £100
    DS school travel pass £55
    Pets £10
    eye test/glasses £100
    Winter clothes (DS/DD) £100
    Groceries £300

    Total £1029.

So it looks as though I have about £360 left over, so need to find roughly £140.
DH is going to do a budget tomorrow and see if he has any spare money, problem is we have just orderd winter oil which he is paying for.
We are just going to have to cut back, I will do as much surveying as possible, have a couple of bits to ebay but after the mammoth listing during September there isn't much left to go on.

SO far today I have been through the freezer and cupboards and done a meal plan to see us through to Wednesday when I get paid, mini shop done and spent £17.56, pennies left now in grocery pot.
I have made a pan of red pepper and lentil soup, as peppers were looking past there best, this I lunch tomorrow, need to do some baking as there is no cakes left.

Unfortunately we are out tonight as it is a friends birthday and we agreed to going out for a meal weeks ago, really wish we were not going as its money we can ill afford, but we have agreed and will just try and be frugal, I'm going to drive and will just drink water and as there is loads of people going I'm hoping we can sneak away early/straight after meal and not end up going round the pubs, will just say the babysitter can't stay late.

Well that was a depressing post, but as always it could be worse.
